Your cart is empty.Prepara's Roasting Laurel is an innovative way to keep foods out of grease and drippings while cooking. This heat-resistant silicone roasting aid keeps your bird or roast up and out of the unhealthy fats in the bottom of your roasting pan or dish. To use, simply bend and shape the laurel to provide a sturdy base for the roast, poultry or vegetable you are cooking. Place the Roasting Laurel in the base of your roasting pan, and the food on top. Place into the oven to bake. The Roasting Laurel helps the meat brown more evenly and eliminates sticking. It is bendable and nests into itself so you can form it to whatever shape is needed for the task at hand: gently supporting a fish for steaming, corralling root vegetables while baking and much more. Fits perfectly in my 7 quart slow cooker which is fantastic because I couldn't find a traditional metal rack that fit well. Seems to elevate the meat a bit higher than a standard rack which is also a plus. I ordered 2 and I am certain I will find many uses for them.

This is my second one I like how it can be shaped to fit both a small and large roasting pan great for roast and large enough for a turkey the laurel can be placed in the dishwasher for easy cleaning

Es silicona pero tiene unos huecos imposibles de limpiar. Con un cepillo consigues sacar los restos pero tardando mucho. Además coge algo de olor y manchas. Lo lavo primero a cepillo luego estropajo y finalmente lavavajillas. Calidad precio nula.

This is an amazing kitchen find! It is bendable like a snake so it will fit into any of my baking pans from round to rectangular, to square. Right there it beats my old wire rack hands down because the rack will only fit in my large pan and I really don't want to have to buy several racks to fit my many different sized pans. This one wreath will fit them all. I've used it a few times now and it's just so much easier than a wire rack. When I think of all of the times I had to soak and scrub my wire rack, tediously scouring every bar on the rack, hacking off hardened crystalized fats etc. I placed two chicken breasts on the wreath, great how I could bend it to fit the exact size of my smaller pan, and the chicken came out perfectly roasted on all sides. I also used it to encircle filled roasting apples, and love that it held them snugly so they didn't tip and roll in the pan when I retrieved it from the oven.After use I rinsed the wreath and then put it on the top rack of the dishwasher (love how I can bend it to fit the narrow channel on my cutlery rack). On the underside of the wreath the 'leaves' are hollow, so best to put the underside facing down into the washer so the water can get on up there and clean it out. Will be buying many of these as Christmas gifts this year.

love love love this ring! I use it in my roaster as well as my electric pressure cooker. it has held up great, it gets mostly clean in the dishwasher, you still have to check the leaves where they join the "stem", stuff likes getting trapped in there. Ive found it best to get it out of the warm pan asap and then i use a toothbrush and just run it in the small area, this takes me all of 1 min to do so its not like omg now i have to clean this thing lol I then toss it in the dishwasher and it comes out fully clean.

Excellent product with a huge amount of versatility. I actually bought this Prepara Roasting Laurel for use in a 6-quart slow cooker. It does a fabulous job of raising the food item up off the floor of the cooking vessel, away from the direct source of heat and saturating liquids. The design itself is both attractive and unique in that the individual leaves can be nestled within each other to take on a shape that meets your individual needs. I alternately used the laurel in a roasting pan on Thanksgiving to prepare my turkey. Everyone commented on how delicious the bird turned out. Since I am not that skilled of a cook, the product might have played a helping hand in its success.

Product is solid, easy to use. I was able to rest a 12.5 lb turkey on top of it. To washelp it, I placed it on the top rack of the dishwasher.

***updated review*** I changed the review to 4 stars because I find I only use it for really big roasts and still use foil for smaller meals - there have been times I have starte4d reaching for it and then think "Its a weeknight - I am just going to use the foil and save myself the cleanup." Because while it does clean up well, you have to get in and out of all of those leaves - foil you just toss. It's still a cool item, but now that the novelty has worn off I find myself rarely using it. ***I am very happy with my Roasting Laurel! I have been using bunched up foil or a traditional roasting rack, but the foil is wasteful and the rack is typically a pain to clean. I have used the Roasting Laurel several times a week since I purchased it and I couldn't be happier! It bends into the perfect shape for whatever I am cooking, keeps the meat out of the drippings and is very easy to clean - I don't have a dishwasher, but with soap and hot water the Roasting Laurel comes clean without any need for scrubbing or special measures (though caution handwashers ... the hollow undersides of the leaves can catch the water from the faucet and redirect it right at you! LOL) I do not notice a residual smell - it comes perfectly clean for me. When I am not using it I just hang it on a hook from my pot rack. It has performed well with pork tenderloins, chicken quarters and breasts and even a 9lb roasting chicken - for whole chickens I always relied on my roasting pan and metal rack and did not expect much in the was of an appreciable difference in browning since my rack raises the bird up, but using the roasting laurel in a 9x13 pan not only made cleanup easier, that bird was magazine cover gorgeous. As someone without a dishwasher I can't stress enough how important "easy to clean" is - anything that is "stuck" on pretty much falls away under the faucet stream. It takes a fraction of the time I used to spend cleaning the metal rack in my roasting set and I am always confident that it is thoroughly clean when I am done. I am more pleased with the Roasting Laurel than I anticipated I would be which is really saying something because I had very high expectations!

I bought the green leaf one (red one wasn't available) about a year ago. I like that it's flexible and made of silicone, so non-stick. However I find it annoying to clean. There are little holes on the underside of the vine's 'spine' and I find that oil/fat gets trapped in there.... though I just realized that it's dishwasher-safe so that might make things easier next time. Also note that if you are roasting a particularly heavy item (like a 14-lb turkey), it might leave an indent in your meat.

I bought this nice silicon object because I had bought an oval Stainless Steel Roasting Pan and Lid from WMF but without any rack so my goal was to find one that could fit in. This one is perfect because it takes the shape you want it to be, it is fun, and it accomplishes it mission: poultry comes out crispy, meat are roasted, and the juice is in the bottom of the plate, so you eat less fat too. Easy to clean, I really recommend it. You can even use it as a table mat too if you want.
