PRIER residential hydrants are the finest quality available. Made from heavy cast brass patterns, copper tubing with stainless steel and aluminum accessories, these hydrants are designed, built and tested to last for the life of your plumbing system. PRIER stems are made with heavy brass ends and are secured at the handle and at the seat with long wearing ACME threads. Since we secure our stem at both ends of the valve, we can manufacture a hydrant to virtually any length and not encounter problems associated with stem seating, rattling, or noise under flow. PRIER offers eight different residential models with as many as seven standard inlet options, twelve standard lengths and options for custom lengths and plating finishes. Replaced outside faucet this is a perfect replacement. Love the quarter turn. Good value well built.

I have installed 3 Prier frost free faucets, two quarter turn and one multi-turn. The first one I installed was the multi-turn and I gave it a scathingly bad review due to leaks. Turned out, however, that I just needed to tighten the packing nut to fix the leaks. Since then the multi-turn faucet has been working great. Both of the quarter turn faucets worked great (no leaks) right away. I will soon install an outdoor faucet on another side of my house and will purchase another Prier quarter turn for that location.

I bought two of these. They both worked fine for three seasons. After the the third winter, both of them leaked out of the handle when the water is turned on. I took them apart to find the packing washers crumbling. That's a relatively easy fix, but I didn't expect to have to repair my hose bibs every 3-4 years due to inferior quality parts inside.

Installation was easy, and I was able to choose exactly the right size for my application. I love that the valve is just a quarter turn. It feels solid.

This is a quality valve. The quarter turn on/off is a plus. The ease of the install will be determined by the installer's skills and the location of the valve. I installed two - one was relatively easy; the other was complex due to location and the pipe position. I use the hydrants daily and both are working as designed. They provide good water pressure and do not leak when they are off.One note on the install. I have read reviews stating the valves have leaked. I suggest removing the stem and washer assembly before doing any soldering. It will take a minute or two to remove. I feel the heat may have damaged the washers.

Installed exactly to instructions and it drips. Will not shut off all the way. I’ll have to send back. I am having trouble returning this item. Seller did not respond after two business days. I tried to file a claim but received a “sorry page won’t open” with a picture of a dog.
