Each lock features a self-engaging, automatic latching mechanism that mounts on the checkrails (or meeting rails), of the pair of sash. These latches are constructed of diecast zinc and come in a corrosion-resistant, industry standard, white-painted finish to match other existing hardware that may already be in the home or office. Each set includes one latch, one keeper, installation fasteners and simple instructions. Installation of these slam latch sash locks is quick and easy, and it can be done with a simple handheld Phillips head screwdriver. Other design features include a 5/16 inch narrow keeper, spring-loaded latch, and 3-5/8 inch mounting hole centers. I ordered 2 sets. 1 set was received with opened packaging and missing the top portion of cardboard backing. I can only be led to believe that this was somebody else's returned item. The item was also damaged/bent as shown in the first photo. It could NOT have been damaged during shipping. The shipment it was packaged with included a textbook, 2 phone case covers and smaller misc. items, all which arrived in perfect condition.The screws provided for installation also were too wide. I wound up having to use the old screws from the handle that was being replaced.One last thing, this is not an OEM part. The picture from seller does not represent the actual product, but is close enough. It does not have the same manufacturing quality as the original, although it appears durable enough.I would have given 2 stars if I didn't receive a used and damaged product.

Likes: many places to purchase on Amazon, replacement fit is not perfect but it locks fine. Same white color.Came with new screws.Dislikes: Metal is thinner than original IWC latch so I'm not sure it will last. Added a handle to the window so I can avoid pulling or pushing on the latch when opening/closing the window.

This was a replacement for the IWC brand it is a copy of. The tolerances are off, it does not open or lock close as easy, feels flimsy, and the spring tension is weak so it doesn't open bracket all the way. Screw holes were too tight, had to use grease and tapping technique with the original screws to keep them from sheering off.

We needed to replace pieces of the window locks on a home we were selling that were corroded and not functioning. I checked my local department stores and was unable to find these specific window locks. My order came in within a week and my husband was tickled to death that they were as easy to replace as they were. All parts were included and the replacement went smoothly and a fraction of what it might have cost to have a window company repair the windows.
