Bonne qualité, facile de remplacer le vieux par un nouveau mais faite attention au côté de l'ouverture pour prendre le bon

Note that left-hand meant looking at the window from the outside and towards the house, the arm is on the left window of a pair. Another way to put it, the arm goes on the window with the hinges on the left side of the window when outside looking in. Easy to swap with the old one doing only a little studying of old one, new one and instructions.

This was an exact replacement for my Truth Hardware casement window operator that failed after coming loose from its mount. Replacement was easy and intuitive. Make sure you screw the operator firmly to the window frame and lubricate all rails, rollers and gears (including the ones in the operator - they come with minimal grease). After fixing this one, I realized that all the rest of my windows and operators needed grease.

Everything but the riveted piece that screws to the window was correct the rivit was put on wrong but not a big deal old part worked fine. Crank is always easy to put in comes with everything you need. I always add extra white molly grease to the crank because they never put any on why the old units fail!

They are a little pricey, but this replacement saved me a lot of money compared to calling in a window specialist. Installation is easy and straightforward. Here are a few tips:1. Remove the handle and wood or plastic bottom sill that covers the gear (mine was attached with two wood screws) - take a picture of the mechanism to make sure the model matches.2. Make sure you get the correct right-hand or left hand model.3. Have a dust pan brush or vacuum handy to clean out leaves and dust that collect around the sill.4. An extra short rail is provided, but I did not need to replace mine. With a flat screw driver, just unclick the old slider sleeve and click the new one into place. The other long arm simply slides into the long rail from the end.4. Be careful! Working around open casement windows can be dangerous from high floors. Now that I have learned how to install one, I'll be ordering more for the rest of the house!

I am a DIYer and I had bought a home and this window was broken for 2.5 years. I tried a few hacks but they also broke (including the hanger hack. So, bought the one that resembled and measured exactly and this fit nicely. Can’t believe I waited so long. It took me 7:45 minutes. This was after spending two hours searching for reviews, looking at YouTube videos and it was already opened and revealed so I could match the part when ordering. It was a very easy fix once I realized what I needed to do based on illustration direction and YouTube videos. Perfect fit.

If your home has average size, side-open, crank-operated casement windows then it probably uses this device or something very much like it. I get the impression that this brand and model (whether right-handed or left) was used in a LOT of houses in the US.That explains my review title. If you have a broken window crank "operator" that matches this one, in size and method of operation, then yes you can replace it with this fairly easily, and it will work just fine.Numerous online videos explain the replacement process. You definitely need a screwdriver, and you probably need a pry bar and/or putty knife. That’s about it. A beginner should be able to do it, and a competent handyman can do it fast. We've replaced two, and they work fine afterward. I believe one of them was only about 10 years old, but I don’t know if it received rough treatment. But we've had no problems after 3+ years of the ones we installed. Not worth worrying about, since I don't think there are many competitors. My biggest complaint is that these have skyrocketed in price. Here today they cost twice what we paid in 2020, and other vendors charge even more. This has nothing to do with inflation. It's a very simple device that is mass-produced. I won't knock off a star for that, but I'm tempted...

After 40 years of cranking, the shaft in the worm gear snapped on my Semco casement window. I was thrilled to find this item to be a perfect replacement. No issues at all. Even the screw pattern matches. The original arm was brass color washed and this item is grey, but no one else would notice it.

This was very easy to install and works perfectly. Just make sure you get the right side you need for opening. The price is very reasonable and it works very smoothly and easily. Very happy with this find for my older window.

When this broke a week ago I was worried. I was sure I wouldn't be able to find this for a 25 year old window. I think I spent an hour and half reviewing options and finding the solution. The installation was much easier than expected. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get to the screws, but it turned out the wood strip over the mechanism was easy to remove and reattach when done. My window was installed in 1995 when the house was first built (window brand: Kolbe). Product appears to be of high quality and if I have to do any more of these I know it is easy to do.One recommendation, if you do have any of these, cleaning/lubricating any non broken ones would be recommended (pop off the cover, clean, lubricate, and open/close the window to lubricate the gears).

I carefully noted what type of window opener I had, then I watched at least two videos on how to replace this particular window opener. So I ordered the correct one and it took me 20 minutes total to replace the old one. That included prying off a reluctant piece of trim and wrestling with a bent screen. This item is identical to the ones at Home Depot for $129. Buying this on Amazon saved me about 60% for material and doing it myself saved me probably a hundred dollars for a handyman! I feel like I should call the girls over for sandwiches and show off! 🙂I cannot express strongly enough however that you should see a video on how to replace this before you try because it is not completely intuitive!

Perfect fit for my casement window, drop-in replacement. Wished it was a bit cheaper though (it's just marginally cheaper than HD). I would have gone with my local HD but they were sold out.
