This is a keyed bolt lock with a 5/16 inch diameter. It is a surface mounted patio door deadbolt lock that has a 1-1/2 inch long throw bolt that can be manually locked or key locked. Can be used on patio doors, sheds, and utility doors to help prevent a forced entry. May also be mounted in a ventilating position and keep the door secure.

This product features a sturdy zinc die cast constructed housing with a steel pin. It comes finished in white. This lock mounts to the surface and has a 1-1/2 in. long throw.

Take your time to install correctly and drill the main lock hole in the correct location and it will work perfectly

I got this to secure a bi-fold door, which are not easy to secure unless you want an ugly 90-degree latch and a padlock. This solution is much more discrete and appealing looking. I added it to keep my 7 year old daughter out who is like a mouse, constantly stealing food from the pantry and nibbling it. We find wrappers behind and under all the furniture. No more. The pantry is now like a vault. This lock has a VERY long pin. I added door-stop side molding to further secure the door in locked position. Works GREAT!!

We really liked the idea of this lock on the sliding glass door, but to install the lock we had to take both sides of the glass out in order to get the drill in to make the hole. I works great but be careful when you install it as the hinge/pin does break, "it's not real sturdy" FYI, even thought it did break, it does work just fine!
