Works pretty well as an extra layer of security for hotel and office doors. It wouldn't fit in the gap between the door edge and the strike plate on any of the residential doors I tried it on. Note that it only works on inward opening doors. Also, due to the design of the notched opening on the metal piece that is place against and into the strike plate, the lock fits more securely on doors where the strike plate is on the right. It'll still work if the strike plate is on the left, but the lock seems to have a lot more play.

great little doohickey heretesting on my front door - which has a BIG gap did bring about some worriesbut I believe at a hotel this will be welcomedI like that it's got 2 methods to 'hook into' the jamb sideeither a single metal strip for deadbolt holes - or 2 more rounded ones for 'normal' latches

Definitely dependent on clearances, but really clever little device. Turns practically any swinging in door to a lockable door, ehich would be great for privacy for house rentals and the like.

A must have if u are travelling. This lock will add extra layer of security. It is simple yet so effective. I recommend getting you one. Trust me, it is all worth it
