The only thing that eradicates an ice buildup situation.... every few years we had an issue where the snow would melt but then the temp would drop subzero and the street gutter would turn into the olympic ice arena - really thick and really dangerous. THIS is what resolved the issue, nothing else worked.

Just like Smaug, the dragon in "The Hobbit", this system is "flaming death from above" to weeds! We had tried a different system with a narrower flame -- forget it. The 500,000 BTU's this one generates, with a wide but focused flame, WIPES OUT weeds! Please do be careful with the fire hazard - it lights up dried twigs and mulch. I'd recommend raking before using. Here in the wet Northeast it works great. Do not use on a windy, dry day in California! I suspect I will be using this system in the winter to thaw ice on stone was and sidewalks, rather than chipping away and dinging the surfaces. Oh, by the way, forget about the piezo starter; it doesn't work.

Lots of similar torches on Amazon. This one works fine but the length of it could be longer so you could stand upright when using. Suggest you search for one with a longer & STRAIGHT torch shaft instead of a curved shaft like this one. Provided gloves are useless unless you have hands like a 5 year old as are the included “open end wrench(s)”.

I bought this burner for weed burning and shou sugi ban (Yakisugi) for wood preservation and does an amazing job. I was using a smaller weed burner which worked, but took too long. This larger device cuts my time by 80 to 90 percent!*Note: you do not need a regulator for a 20 gallon propane tank. I would buy this again in a heart beat.
