A lot of roll lock accessories include the mandrels and the backing plates, but they don't always have them. And here, you get the three different sizes. The one inch size is very unusual and I didn't have that size anywhere. They include hex shank mandrels that can be used with drills or cordless screwdrivers and the round shank which work with die grinders or drills. Note that these are quarter inch shanks and not meant for rotary tools. I said that just in case someone makes that assumption. Best of all, they're rubber and not hard plastic which has a reputation for breaking. I imagine these are going to last a lot longer than those. It's a great accessory kit if you don't have these already on hand. The price is good as well.

These aren't perfect which is unfortunate in my line of work because I work in aviation. But for what they're used for they work just fine and it makes it really easy to use my cordless impact to grind stuff instead of having to run an air hose.

This review of...Baisiky Quick Change Disc Pad Holder, 3-Pack Roll Lock Disc Holder, with 1/4" Shanks for Die...is through a promotion of Amazons Vine Program....This is a decent set of quick change disc pads holders for the price. The largest holds up to a 3 inch pad with speeds up to 20,000 RPM's. Next size down will hold up to a 2 inch pad with speeds up to 30,000 RPM's. The smallest quick change disc does not come with a size or speed limit on it. In my kit of grinding pads for these quick change units. I had a inch and a half pad that fit nicely on the smallest of holders. If you look at the pictures I have all three sizes laid out with grinding pads on them. Each one comes with two different style stems to attach to the actual pad holder. The smooth stem will work with any drill or die grinder that accepts that style. Not all die grinders are the same. The other stem included. Works great with any nut driver that has the quick change that accepts a six sided stem. Works great on my cordless driver. If you will look at the pictures you will notice three pictures of the different diameter grinding pads. This set of disc pad holders only accept the grinding pads with the protruding threads. That way you basically screw the grinding pad on to each holder. I bring this up as there are grinding pads that are just the opposite on mounting. They posses the mount type where the disc pad itself has a protruding thread. The actual grinding pad has the hole you screw into.These pads come in handy when you need to trim cut or sand something. Especially hard to reach areas. You can purchase the different style grinding and cutting pads at most hardware places. A quick search on Amazon will bring up just about every style pad one would need for the project. These are priceless for the heavy equipment technician. These quick mount discs are simple in design but worth there weight in gold on a job. If you have been thinking about purchasing a set, this is the time to do it. This set of three look just as well made as what I have purchased through industrial suppliers for a much higher cost. Course time will tell.....

I bought this specifically because I wanted the quarter inch hex adapter to use with my impact and it was cheaper to buy this kit than to buy the adapters individually so really pleased with this purchase

These were exactly what I needed. However the stem and base threads are not well machined. They all stripped after a little use. Not worth sending back. I JB welded them and seem to be holding up now.
