My husband has used this glove for years (until something "ate" it when it was outside drying! . It gives a good grip on the fish for gutting, scaling, filleting, etc. and protects your hand well from cuts. He was happy that he could find another glove the same.

Awesome glove. Comfortable and prevents cuts while cleaning fish. Also helps to grip the fish. Be warned this thing will stink to high heaven if you don't wash it off really well and dry before storing in your tackle box. Fit is as described

Great glove. Used it with my new fillet knife and it kept me from cutting myself. Well made.

The wire mesh actually cuts through -- not immediately, but after repeated use. If you run the blade of the knife against it, you will immediately see a mark. After repeated use/washing, the glove will begin to break apart at where the initial cut was made. It's good enough that you won't slice through your hand with any single errant stroke, but it doesn't appear to be very durable.

Using glove to protect hand during catch and release. Good fit and works great. I now have two gloves, keep one in boat and one on dock.

After accidentally cutting my finger with a chef's knife, I decided to buy one of these gloves to use whenever I'm doing a lot of chopping or grating. I tested it first by sticking some markers in the finger holes and trying to lightly cut through the glove with my chef's knife, which at the time was sharp enough to slice a sheet of newspaper. No mark was left on the glove, so I felt reasonably safe using it to protect my hand. The glove itself is made of a flexible, comfortable material(s) and has thin strands of steel woven into it. You can even wash it in the washing machine. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone looking to protect their hands when slicing, grating, etc.

Does a good job protecting your hands from fish fins or knives when cleaning. My palm is 4 inches wide and the medium sized gloves fits well.
