This item worked great with my rain water overflow barrows. Much cheaper then buying through your home improvement store and the best thing is that no plastic or lead is involved in production.

Put this on a rain barrel and it worked great and was easy to install. The spout is solid and it comes with the appropriate rubber washers and plumbers tape too. Easy instructions with diameter you need to make. The hardest part was sliding the nut down a string in the barrel to the hole, but this package has everything you need.

This is a great rain barrel faucet and easy to install. The reverse threads make installation easy and once its on Im confident that it will not leak. My last rain barrel was put together with a faucet that was always leaking. This one is different. Its well made and solid as a rock. My advice is if you are installing from the inside like I had to make sure you get one with reverse threads (like this one) so when you screw in the faucet part you are screwing it in opposite of the left hand threading and you can make a much better connection and seal.

Used this to replace a busted up smaller outlet on a rain barrel. Toughest part was finding a 1 1/4 hole saw but it's important to use the right size and tool, after that, dead simple and works great.

I recently installed this on a 55 gallon plastic drum that I'm using as a rain barrel, and the quality of construction seems excellent. This is solid brass with an o-ring providing a tight seal on the inside of the barrel.Installation was a breeze. Be sure you have a 1-1/4" hole saw, then drill the hole 3-1/2" or so from the bottom. I didn't bother with the "string trick" I had seen online. I just dropped the inside piece with the o-ring inside the barrel and tilted it so I could grab it and pull it through. The nut that goes on the outside is reverse threaded, so turn it counter-clockwise to tighten. A few wraps of teflon tape on the spigot threads and I tightened it all up. No leaks!I will update in the future if there are any changes, but there's not much that can go wrong with brass. I'm not sure what material the nut on the handle is made of. I'm hoping stainless so it doesn't rust, but if it does that would be an easy thing to change out.
