These rechargeable walkie talkies have been such a great find for my kids! The range is impressive, and they work perfectly for playing around the neighborhood or even during camping and hiking trips. I love that they come with a built-in 1200mAh rechargeable battery—no more wasting money on replacements. The 22 channels and 99 privacy codes give plenty of options so they’re not constantly picking up random chatter.The VOX feature is a nice bonus, letting the kids talk hands-free, and the colorful design makes them easy to spot (and fun to use). They’re sturdy, lightweight, and simple enough for kids to figure out on their own. Whether for play or real emergencies, these walkie talkies are reliable and a fantastic value. Five stars all the way!

This is a nice walkie talkie set for kids or for use on the road. They are not overly rugged, but you are also not paying a lot for these. I tested these with my wife. I drove up to the local store which is less than a mile away. I lost connection with her right before getting to the store. She was on the porch in front of our house and I was in the car. That’s not bad considering all the houses that were between us and me being in a vehicle. These would work great if you were on a trip with friends in two different vehicles. You should be able to communicate with each other if within a mile of each other.There are about 20 channels that you can switch between. The on-off switch is part of the volume knob at the top. It clicks when turning on or off and then you control the volume after that. The display lights up and is very readable. You can change the sounds when receiving a signal and turn on or off key tones. There is a belt clip on the back that can be removed if you are not going to use it. The talk button is on the left side and there is a headphone jack and usb-c charging port under a rubber seal on the right side.There is a button for what they say is a flash light, but it does not get very bright. I guess it would help if you were looking for something in the dark up close, but don’t expect to see any distance with the light. Two charging cables are included and each unit is rechargeable so you don’t have to worry about replacing batteries all the time.

I own many two-way radios as an amateur radio operator and am familiar with various radios across different frequencies. Until now, I didn’t have any radios designed solely for FRS (Family Radio Service). I have some GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) radios, which share FRS frequencies but require an FCC GMRS license, which is affordable and easy for families to obtain. FRS radios, however, don’t require a license—the radios themselves are licensed, so no call signs are needed. You might occasionally hear someone with a GMRS radio on the same frequency using a call sign.I tested these FRS radios with my son around the house, both inside and outside.—they worked great. Even with the house between us, we could communicate clearly from 75 feet away. The radios offer 22 channels, and you can set them to scan all channels or select a single channel to monitor.The batteries are rechargeable and came mostly charged. They reached full charge quickly.The roger beep is enabled by default. I assume it can be turned off in the menu, but my son enjoyed it, so we didn’t bother looking for that setting.

I wanted these because I have elderly parents and I wanted them to have an easy option to get ahold of me, or each other. For instance if I'm doing yardwork for them and my mom is in the house and she needs something, these are easier and faster then cell phones for them....and me, honestly. You just need to push one button and you're in communication.They work great and they are incredibly easy to figure out. I've never really used a Walkie-talkie, but the directions were clear and once you have the basics down and have them set up, your good to go.The range seems great in rural areas. They are small enough to be super portable, but sturdy enough to handle a fall. I've accidently dropped the one I use a few times from around 2-3ft and so far, not a scratch.The charge lasts for a number of days on light use and when you do have to charge them they do so quickly.The 99 codes are a nice feature, it's nice to know you're conversations are private.I think they're great and they aren't just for kids. This is one of my favorite orders and I only wish they came in a pack of 3, but that's my issue not the Walkie-talkies.5 stars, over and out.

These radios come with two in a pack, one red and one blue. They give video game vibes in the best way. There are 22 channels on which you and whomever you are communicating with can choose from and 10 call tones. The auto squelch is very loud.I did not like the fact that these walkie talkies did not come with any charging accessories. I find it incredibly cheap and tacky when a company doesn’t include as much as charging cord. What these walkie talkies do come with is a built in flashlight and a backlit display, which is already peeling off of the blue walkie talkie ever so slightly. Another feature that I am a fan of is the fact that these are functional. They do not have any bells and whistles, but they enable two people that are not in close proximity to one another, to communicate. Good quality.
