Great additional sensor for my Brataste weather station! Purchased the weather station before the holidays to replace my old Radio Shack weather station. The unit came with one sensor. Started encountering problems with the original sensor due to relatively cold (approximately +20 degrees F). Contacted Brataste customer support and received OUTSTANDING service in short order (sad to say, that is unusual for these days ... so I was pleasantly surprised). They advised me to use Lithium batteries (more tolerant to the cold) in the outdoor sensor. Switched out the alkaline batteries for lithium and haven't had any problems since. Subsequently, I decided to purchase another sensor for a crawlspace ... so I could monitor the humidity level in that space.

This was very easy to setup with our existing weather station. Beneficial that this is battery powered and long range, we can place it on another floor and still functions fine. Usually the extenders have no display but this includes the basic readings which is even better so you can see the numbers without going back to the station!

I have previously purchased the main base weather station from the same brand, Brataste, and it worked great: something simple that shows the temperature and humidity so I know whether to wear a jacket or open windows.This extra sensor is perfect because not only can it easily share the temp to the main display, but it also includes a tiny LCD display that shows the temperature and humidity.I use other brands like Ecowitt that have features to connect to internet and log temperature over time, but don't include a display; and like Tapo that includes an option for a display on the sensor but at a much higher price and require a hub, but can send me notifications on my phone. They all have their place.This is better quality than I expected for the price, it uses AA batteries that should last a long time compared to coin cells; and will stand on it's own or hang on the wall, but the best thing is the fact that it includes the tiny display so I can see the temp without going back to the main display.
