For the $13 paid, I find these a good value for lighter weight rifles such as .22LR and 223.

While this is a good cushion on the shoulder, it constantly moves. I often realized that I was carring the shoulder bag without this pad on the shoulder. After all, I had to use gorilla tape on the strap, in order to make the pad stop moving.I wonder if I should have bought the strap replacement which comes with a pad which is even cheaper than this pad.

Works great on all these narrow tactical slings. Keeps them from digging in and sliding around. Great product. Need to order a few more. Works good on single point slings too.

This review is based on what I bought the pad for, not what the product headline says. This pad doesn't come close to the shoulder pad on my rifle.But wait! This is exactly the right size and feel for the tablet / gadget bag I bought that came without a pad. So, it gets 5 stars for that! I slid the 1.25 inch strap including buckle under the Velcro so I wouldn't have to fight it. By fighting the Velcro, I mean pulling it apart and aligning it exactly right. The strap still has a nice and snug fit through the flaps.

You say rifle shoulder pad, I say purse shoulder pad. I bet my purse is as heavy as a rifle LOL.I wanted to make a shoulder strap out of two special lanyards, and this shoulder pad was perfect for holding the center connector ring in place. The shoulder pad is comfortable and made incredibly well, so I am very happy with my purchase.

I purchased two of these for my Ferro Concepts Slickster plate carrier. While these pads are only rated for 1.5" straps, they will work on 2" straps. You just won't have the same overhang of Velcro.They're minimalistic which I wanted, and provide that slight bit of padding and the same mesh ventilation the carrier front and back has. All in all I would say worth it over a $50 dedicated pair of shoulder pads for the Slickster.

I bought this because i got a duffel bag and it did not come with any shoulder strap padding, this item fit the strap and color perfectly, and its good quality, my load on that gear is pretty heavy, but as someone else said its pretty noisey.....sounds like your trying to open a bag of chips in a library....I wouldn't use this on a rifle sling (as a hunter) or anything, but its good for what i got it for.

Bought a ChiCom Type 56 chest rig. The heavy cotton straps, one places over the shoulders, were comfortable, to begin with, but are even more comfortable now. Plus, shoulder, and neck fatigue, have been reduced. Further, I can attach an angled flashlight, with its clip, on the Velcro tabs, which hold the pad, in place on the straps. The flashlight stays in place, securely.
