REPTIZOO Reptile Flat Packed Glass Terrarium
Glass terrariums are the preferred choice of professional Herpetologists. They offer the best viewing for your animal; they are suitable for damp and humid conditions, are hygienic and easy to clean. Glass also maintains the correct heat gradient more safely and easily-maintaining the correct heat gradient is critical to a reptile's and amphibian's well-being as they use external heat sources in their environment to regulate their body temperatures.
In the wild these animals move around within their habitat (from sunlight to shade, or from above ground to burrows, for example) to regulate their body temperature. If they get too cool, their metabolism slows (and in conditions that are too hot or too cold, they enter states of inactivity or hibernation).
Maintaining the appropriate temperature is vital to bodily functions such as digestion. It is important to provide the proper temperature conditions in order for the animal to grow and thrive.
For many reptiles, it is not simply a matter of providing a constant temperature, however. They require a thermal gradient, or a range of temperatures from a high end to a low end. Thus, the animal can move to a higher temperature or lower temperature to suit its needs at any given time.
These terrariums are supplied flat packed for safety and ease of transport
It can be assembled in easy steps using the instructions/videos supplied. Easy to set up in several minutes.
The bottom glass panel of the terrarium is raised to facilitate the mounting of a substrate heater or heat cable.
The terrarium is water-tight up to the hinged doors, which allows for a “water pool” inside the terrarium, or a natural water feature for an amphibian. There is also a special raised base to facilitate the placement of heat mats.
The removable top mesh screen provides plenty of ventilation for optimum airflow, and allows full spectrum, UVB and IR light penetration. There is also a flexible side vent that can be positioned as required. The side meshes and side glasses can be switched.
A reliable specially designed lock prevents unwanted opening from children or pets and is an extra security measure to keep the animals in the terrarium.
Rotating a fixed structure can hold 4 lines firmly. This grommet is made of ABS, it is long-lasting and easy to install and uninstall

Pretty good for the money, with one pretty big drawback.- Arrived in one piece!- Styrofoam dust on everything, make sure you wipe it down- Relatively easy to put together but instructions are not the best.- the door locking mechanism is pretty bad. It requires a key, which is very short, and keeps falling out of the lock. Not easy to use.- the side panels are probably the scariest part to put together, make sure to hold them before inserting the spacer.Took off 1 star because of the horrible door locking mechanism, otherwise this is a pretty good terrarium. If this were used at a convention (or had small children) I would understand the lock, but I do not need this at home.

Cage is hard to put together, the doorknobs must be put on by you and you have to be careful because they’re adhesive, my package unfortunately came days late after I bought fast shipping.

Arrived quickly and is absolutely massive! My crested gecko already seems to love it. I did take the advice of some other reviews and silicone the inside edges for extra strength. I don't intend to add a water fixture but I do have cats and was worried when it seemed a little wobbly.

I would suggest getting a 24" arcadia lamp to sit on top of this enclosure. For a veiled chameleon, arcadia suggests either a forest 6% (short enclosure) or desert 12% uvb lamp (taller enclosure like this one). If you are getting the standard fixture, I think a desert lamp 12% would be more helpful since the screen on top blocks more than 30% of the light. its probably a 40-50% block on this mesh. There is the more expensive arcadia series lumenIZE in which the lamps are dimmable through an app on your phone. You could actually use a very strong dragon lamp 14% and set it on a schedule where it dimmed part of the day to the appropriate output for your species. This is such a tall cage and the top mesh is thicker and blocks more light. It is a problem for the normal uvb bulbs to penetrate the enclosure deeply and your reptile is likely to develop MBD in these conditions. My veiled chameleon broke her leg falling due to having inferior uvb bulbs on this enclosure. I had two reptizoo T10 13 watt bulbs and that was not enough. She would hang out inches from these bulbs at the top of the cage but did not get enough uvb. She has made a full recovery in a smaller cage with an arcadia forest lamp. She will be going back in this enclosure eventually with an arcadia dragon lumenIZE 24" lamp set on an appropriate schedule and carefully monitored. I am giving this product a one star because i think more people will read this review. Its actually a decent product deserving of 3-4 stars but needs a warning about how it affects the lighting needs of the animal.

It’s HUGE i love it so much my crested gecko is going to thrive ! The directions were not to clear but i still got it took about 1 hour ! (not for my ferret hes just checking it out lol)

Perfect. I am so glad I bought this rather than a fully assembled terrarium. The box it comes in is still heavy but far more compact and easier to deal with. It's packed extremely well. Assembly is simple and it's really sturdy - I was kind of worried it might be floppy, weak or misaligned. If you have an automated misting system you'll probably want to be sure it aims towards the center and avoid hitting the sides too much as although the sides are very secure they're only slotted together and drips could form outside. The bottom is waterproof and extremely solid. My only very minor criticism is the door latch mechanism is a bit stiff and jerky but I also bought 2 other Reptizoo in other sizes and the latches kind of vary how smoothly they work (but they do work).
