We just put this into service today and so far we love it. It feels much sturdier than we were expecting at this price, looks amazing in our tea and coffee nook.While it does NOT have a temperature setting like some more expensive pots, the thermometer is useful for me letting the water sit in the pot until it is the temperature I need for whatever food or drink I am working with. The temp gauge is in Celsius, so folks using Farenheit will have to have a conversion chart or app handy.

The kettle melted to the base the third time I used it. I kept smelling burning plastic, but I thought maybe it was just because it was new. I thought this kettle was really cute. I’m disappointed in the poor quality.

This is my first foray into electric tea kettles, despite being a daily tea drinker.I was drawn to this because of its cool, retro inspired design. The kettle looks really nice on the countertop. The white metal part is sort of an off white tone that I like. It adds to its retro vibe. The shiny gold accents and handle seem to be plastic, which I am not a fan of. I wish it was all constructed out of a high quality metal. There is an easy to read temperature gauge on the front. Inside the handle area there is a volume gauge. I appreciate those features.I wish that it had different temperature settings. Different teas require different water temperatures for optimal steeping. I feel like this would’ve been a better value with that feature.This operated great and heated up quick enough to boiling.The body of the kettle looks well insulated. The lid, a single layer of metal, feels a little cheap to me… like the metal could/should be a thicker gauge for this price point. The on/off switch is comically large.The box it came in is really nice. You could gift this, as the presentation is so nice.Overall I’m happy with this kettle but think there are a few areas in which it could be improved.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this retro electric tea kettle but was pleasantly surprised with how much I like it. I got the black retro style that looks just like the photo in the description. It looks great on my countertop. Even my husband commented on how nice it looks, which is unusual for him.My old tea kettle stayed on warm for a couple hours after coming to a boil. This kettle turns off after coming to a boil, so I decided to test how long it stayed warm without reheating.It took• 1/2 hour to go from 100 C (212 F) to 90C (194F)• 1 hour before it went to 80C (176F)• 2 hours before it went to 60C (140F)The kettle stayed at a good temp for quite a long time. You can always reheat which takes up to 10 min from cold water to boiling.• The one thing that I’m still not sure about it the on/off switch. It sticks out quite a bit, and I accidentally turned it on when reaching for something nearby. If you leave it plugged in and it doesn’t have water in it, it could be a problem.

WOW! I love this more than I expected. My new kitchen has brushed gold fixtures and white/gold vein quartz and this looks sleek and beautiful yet still homey.Holds more but it's nice and tall, uses a smaller foot print on my counter. Fast heating, easy to fill and hold onto while filling or pouring. Some have handles so fat that it's hard for my agility to handle for a long pour or fill.The thermometer dial gives it a steam punk vibe which I love.All stainless inside and out without any exposed silicone or plastic anyplace on it. Seals or otherwise.Love it and I hope it lasts but if it blow up at the 14 month stage like the rest do that's fine because it's not super pricey. My kettles get a lot of use though.

This electric kettle by INFOOD works as expected just as most other electric kettles do. It boils water. However the design of this kettle is slightly flawed in my opinion. The kettle has a base that it has to sit on in order to provide the electricity to run it and boil the water. They could have just made the kettle with the cord coming out of it, rather than having to have it sit on the base for its electricity. It was constructed this way so that you can then take the kettle into another room or to your coffee table and refill your hot beverage as needed.The temperature gauge on the kettle is functional and does work to let you know what the temperature of the water is when the kettle is not on the base. It also gives the kettle that "retro vintage" look to it. I've never taken my kettle into another room but having this feature allows you to do that so I would say it's very simple to use in that respect.The body of the kettle feels very durable but lightweight. It's constructed completely of high heat resistant, high grade stainless steel. However, the handle and the copper colored knob at the top of the lid are both hard plastic with a shiny copper colored coating of paint. This kettle is huge and can boil water for several people in just 2 to 3 minutes.I've only used it a few times, so I can't say how long it will keep its new appearance as vintage looking kettle. It has an auto shut off feature and a simple switch to turn it on when you're ready to boil your water, as most electric kettles do. It's a good looking kettle and can be displayed proudly on any counter top surface. Price wise, I think it's a little on the higher end and you could be paying more for the vintage look of it as opposed to the function of any average electric kettle. If being able to take your kettle into another room and refill your hot beverage when you want to without getting up is your thing, then this is a great kettle for you. For me, I prefer to just boil my water in the kitchen and make my tea there.
