Exceeds my initial expectations. I havent charged it yet but I needed this for the fm/am feature. Sound quality is great.

FM is ok, (pretty much any DSP radio does well with FM signals) SW is a tough tune, AM at least has good selectivity outside, too much EMI indoors for good weak signal reception, otherwise a good DSP radio. I don't use BT so I can't opine on it's operability.Have not tried the MP3 function, but the rechargeable internal battery should do fine even if relatively small in capacity, 1200mAh.

If you go in looking at this as a neat looking retro radio - you'll be happy. Just don't think you're going to get good sound quality, because you're not - it's not terrible, but there is no bass at all, although it gets decently loud. But for a budget radio with these looks, and the rgb light show, I have no issues with that for the money they're asking. As for the radio, I tested indoors and expected to get zero channels, but with the antenna up fully, to my shock, it pretty cleanly picked up an FM station. I'm not really near any radio towers and generally don't get indoor reception on cheaper units, but the fact this picked up a station bodes well for it's reception abilities. There was of course no indoor AM reception for me, which is always the case even with expensive radios. I did not test this outdoors, but at least on FM I'd expect pretty decent results. For bluetooth, it paired right away with no issues. For music, it sort of sounds perfect for older tunes from the 30s and 40s just softly playing in the background - I find it awesome to use that way.Most of the RGB lightshow stuff only works with bluetooth, while there are some lights for radio as well, it's more dialed back look for whatever reason. BTW, you can turn the lights off to save battery, or if you just want them off. The unit itself is quite nice looking in person, better than I was expecting for something in this price range. Overall, for the money, I really like this - just know you're buying it for looks, not for the audio quality and you'll be happy.

If you want an affordable, good sounding radio with retro styling, then you may want to give this little guy a try. It’s not a big radio, but it has your basic AM and FM stations and also has shortwave stations. I had no problem receiving any of our local radio stations. You can also connect it to your phone via bluetooth, which, by the way, adds cool multicolor lights to the fun. I have no idea what size battery is in it but it lasts a long time on a single charge.

People were right about this little radio/mp3 player - crisp sound that is HiFi. Now to remember all the numbers for the tracks. Surprising it was fun to see what track or song I got just by press in 4 digits randomly. I made Playlist and put each list in it's own folder. Seems to work well for me. Happy listening!
