Got this to work with my Apple Mac Studio with M1… I had to plug it into the port on the back of the computer as it was not recognized when I tried plugging it into a USB hub.

Not sure how much a longer USB cable cost to made, but why every brand just include a tiny cable. It will get the job done, package is basic, don't even include an instruction manual, they put a sticker on the outside of the box... really save every dime on cost, pay attention to the instruction otherwise it won't read; but NVMe will get hot, so be carefulThe only small potential issue is the vertical slot, be careful don't bent your drive make sure insert it with correct angle

Still confused about M.2 drives. I had something like this but apparently is is for the SATA variant but new computers have a NVMe standard. I just know my two computers can use both but I need two readers for both standards. So I have both now. This is really well made, nice and weighty. it gets warm but I'm sure it would get hot had it not been made from aluminum. The speeds are fast, didn't measure it but they are faster than my 2.5 inch SSDs.

It works, but it is so slow it is ridiculous. I am getting oly a few MB/s when doing an NVMe to NVMe disk copy, no matter the utility I am using. When connected to a Windows 10 system either via usb c or usb3 to usb c connection I don't get more than 20 MB/s. I get much faster speeds on just external sata drives. It's just horrible. It gets even worse. On top of all of that, it reads maybe every third drive I have tried it with. Really a totally useless docking station that has put me in a bind multiple times. The Riitop support is non existent, there are no firmware updates and their FAQ is just flat out full of c@#$. Avoid everything from them unless you feel like gambling every time you plug it in and waiting all night long.

The device works great. The only issue I had was the hard drive would sporadically overheat and fail to image. Mostly due to my office work environment. A small counter turbo fan fixed that issue and I have not had a hard drive imaging failure since the fan was added. Fully recommend this product.

Great way to access data on NVME drives. Easy to use and no issues with windows 10. Only thing that could be better is the force required to insert and remove the drive. Some sort of lockeject button would be nice.

Se conecta sin mucha presion. Se debe mantener en un lugar sin movimiento pues puede salir de la unidad el chip (ssd).

This is a fantastic dock. Small, lightweight, looks great and super easy to use. No external casing and no screws required like most other M.2 SSD docks I’ve used. I love that this USB-C dock comes with a USB-A adapter. Best SSD dock ever! I only wish this also worked with the M key and B+M key M.2 SSDs.
