Perfect for separation. I put mine on the top,Then my Apollo/Furman/another rack spacer/Avalon 737(I put a fan on top of the Apollo and the Avalon) You can see the colors from the fans light through the grill of the rack spacer

Coarse screws come with these covers... my rack uses finer threads. Surely I am not the first person to say that.
