Have tried everything. Used to switch between Slinkys and D’Addarios, tried Rotosounds, GHS, and eventually settled with DRs for the longest time. I thought Hi-Beams were as good as it was gonna get, but just as soon as I wound my Jazz Bass with these, OMG, it’s like I took a blanket off the amp. They’re bright, dynamic, smooth to the touch, and incredibly versatile. I also got the Marcus Miller set I intend to put on my Corvette, as soon as I replace a faulty preamp. Super excited to try those. These are the first string to really wow me. It was like playing a whole new instrument. Well done Dunlop.

Big fan of Robert’s since the Infectious Grooves days. If he put his name on them, that’s good enough for me to at least try these. Very crunchy and midrangy tone. I can slap and dig in with my fingers.

If you've been thinking about giving these a go... don't think, just buy. I play an American standard p bass, BEAD tuning, tone rolled all the way back, half turn up, eq off. I've never strung anything up that sounds as rad as these strings, and I've been doing this a long time. Rob did us right with these, for real for real.
