I bought this knife for a specific reason and use. I read all reviews and understood the handle problem . Sure enough when i recived my knife the leather handle was loose . Here is the FIX . Wrap the handle with tape that will hold the stacked leather in place but still come off easy . Wrap something around the blade so you can hold it with pliers without scratching it . Find a nail or something to put true the hole in the bolster where they say you can put a lanyard . ( I used a allen wrench ) Hold tight with the pliers and twist to the left or counter clock ways . Bolster will twist off . Slowly twist of stacked leather off and add a good glue to the threaded rod ( not super glue ) replace stacked leather ( still taped together ) and add a washer or another leather washer as i did and replace bolster and retighten till stacked leather handle is good and tight . Let glue dry . I gave my handle a light coat of polyurethane to give the leather handle that glossy look again . Done ! Great little knife !

I bought 2 of these knives . One came perfect the second knifes stacked leather had started to dry and become loose as other reviewers noted. The sheathes are decently built nylon with plastic inserts in them , but they are far too bulky for such a small knife I ripped the plastic insert out of one sheathe and have mounted it in a kidex wallet which is serviceable for the time being.I may try what another reviewer noted and make a sheath out of pvc heated up to shrink arround the blade.Also might try moisturizing the leather and re tightening the grips.All things considered ... I'd say it's worth more than the price tag if you are willing to make a new sheath for it.The one that it comes with is well made but bulky... maybe I will look for an oversized pen I can melt into a sheathe so it will retain the pen clip. Would make a good boot knife.

I was attracted to this by the price. Upon getting it, I have found few uses for it. The sheath is very good. The stacked leather washers loosen up as the knife ages because they dry out, which then makes the handle loose.Pro: Price is right. Good belt sheath. It is an interesting conceptCon: It's practically useless. Leather shrinks a LOT when it dries which allows looseness.(Another "pro" which I just thought of: If you lose it, you won't miss it much, except maybe as a letter opener.
