These tuners feature a thumbwheel locking function to keep your strings securely in place. This prevents string slippage and also enables you to cut off your excess string. You don't have to wrap the string around the posts several times like you do with an non locking machine tuner. Simply thread the string though the hole in the peg, then twist the thumbwheel to secure it in place. Simple and effective, and speeds up re-stringing.
The new sleek design and smooth 1:18 gear ratio give you a great combination of tuning stability, accuracy and good looks.
These tuners have a sealed housing & mounting screw hole at 45 degrees.

I recently ordered the Rubatone Locking Guitar String Tuning Pegs Sealed Machine Heads Tuners Tuning Keys for a guitar that I am building. The tuners are constructed well and do not feel cheap. The tuners are smooth when tuning without any noticeable gear skipping. The tuners are easy to install with only a wrench and a screwdriver needed unless you need to drill the holes in the guitar neck then you will also need a drill. The locking tuners hold the strings tight providing more tuning stability. These tuners look and work great! If you are looking to upgrade to locking tuners, check these out.

These are my first locking tuners and the quality of them is great. Internally, they were greased, the gears were smooth and the string locking was spot on. I didn’t notice that these were shorter shafts than the tuners they were replacing, I should have looked at that. The only downside is the screws for fastening to the back of the headstock are incredibly small, you’ll likely destroy the heads of them trying to put them in. The screws could have been 1 size larger.
