My wife had problems with the trunk lid on our 2000 Buick Century not staying up (occasionally). We purchased a pair of these lifts, and they work beautifully. I was even able to replace them myself. A small screwdriver is necessary to release the old supports, and the new ones just snap into place.

Old supports held in place by a band clamp, easily removed with the help of a screwdriver. New supports just push on over the post. Fits our Buick perfectly and the whole install took less than 5 minutes.

Installed (2) of these gas springs. They work and hold the trunk open, but I expected them to have more of a gas charge. So, don't expect them to push the lid open from fully closed. Only the last third of the lid's travel is affected while opening.

I got these supports just in time, a week ago while loading groceries the wind slamed the trunk just missing me. WOW!They were very easy to install, just pry the clip enough to slide the support on the ball joint.They work like a dream, now the lid pops up when released. Oh, and the price was better than any store around with quick delivery.

fit was great. The 'lift' of these truck supports are not as strong as OEM. But the OEMs did not last very long before they collapsed. Price was excellent. We'll see how long these last.
