Product Description

Screen retaining spline is the “glue” that holds a good screening project together. Pairing the correct spline size and color will ensure your screens go in smoothly and look great. ADFORS offers a wide variety of screen retaining spline to meet the need of any job, large or small.

From the Manufacturer

Screen retaining spline is serrated hollow core vinyl. Retaining spline is used to hold the screening material in the frame channel. One 25-Feet package provides enough spline to rescreen the two average size windows or one screen door. Diameter size refers to the thickness of the spline. Various diameters are available.

I bought this to tighten the screen in my screen door because my dog kept pressing on it and pushing out the screen. This did the trick perfectly.

Works great, got it fast and less then 1/2 the cost at the local big box stores. All that and it came right to my mailbox- love it!

According to the chart, I would be buying 0.14" spline, but I bought 0.16" instead, figure it is better to be a little more snug. That was a mistake. It was very hard to push the 0.16" spline into the grove for aluminum screen. But it also seems the 0.14" one would be too loose. So lesson learnt, next time when I have to re-screen my screen doors, I would choose the 0.15" spline.

Bought 0.16 spline from Lowe's which was less than 0.16. The ADFORS is 0.16 and a stronger rubber. I think the Lowe's brand has poor quality control as the same stuff I bought last fall was correct. Stick with Saint Gobain brand ADFORS.

Replaced the mesh on the screen door. This spline was the appropriate size, maybe a bit on the big side.

Used it for a screen door replacement. Worked good but I found it was easier to put in if you pull it hard while pushing it in.

I couldn't find spline this cheap anywhere near home, and I wasn't disappointed. Rolls in easy, stretches just a little and grips tight. It's held up all summer so far without any shrinkage.UPDATE: It's been a couple of hot, hot summers in the south, and my sunroom screens have really come in handy. There has been some slight shrinkage and rounding at the corners, but even with cats climbing the screens, the spline has held tight. Wish the screen was as cat-proof as the spline.

Good spline, seemed to be a little thinner than I expected. Did not hold in the gaps very well for several different screens, but I have kids and cats messing with them also.
