This this is a dangerous piece of junk. The socket at the end of the extension was not securely attached to the housing. This meant that when I screwed a light bulb in, it was actually spinning within the housing in addition to the socket. The wires twisted, causing a short circuit which instantly fried my smart bulb ($50) and dimmer switch ($20). Thankfully it didn't start a fire and the damage was limited to those two components, but I'm still shocked that this product was allowed to leave the factory. I strongly recommend against this product.

Works ok but there’s no way to screw it in tight.

Works great, be sure you have the right size floods for it but almost all work well. also: don't overscrew the bulb. Having said that, the arm allows you to turn and twist the floodlight to accent pretty much anything you want. I've been using them for a few months and have had no problems at all. Great for deeply sunk sockets in a basement. They highlight framed items on the wall. Very satisfied.

In our new house, there is only one light socket in the garage. Even worse, it is immediately behind a support beam, so one half of the garage got a little light, and the other half was permanently in shadow. I bought this extension converter and a one-to-four socket attachment and used four 60-watt equivalent LED bulbs to create a much brighter light source that hangs down below the support beam and illuminates all parts of the garage really well.

I have a 'double-back' stairway in a 2 story house which has a 2-way light switch on each end and a recessed 'can' light at the top in the center of the stairway ceiling. Had tried motion-detector night light on the middle landing receptacle which worked fairly well except the light would often be knocked out of the wall when someone was carrying something up or down. Motion detector light switches at each end would have worked but could not limit them to only the first step at the top or bottom of the stairs so the light would come on just about anytime anyone moved on the lower floor. This extension allows me to adjust the motion detector light socket I added to just the right 'span' so that the light comes on as someone is just entering the stairway at either end. (Maybe the rich folks' homes have a better way of doing this...seems like it would almost be in the building code to have an auto light in a stairway.) I think I could have used the shorter extension but this one is well-made, adjusts perfectly up/down and in a cirle to work just right. If you look at it, it is a bit odd looking but after a while I never noticed it and I think most visitors would never notice it (not that I give a hill of beans what they think of my light!).

If you have recessed can lights in your ceiling and want better lighting, this item is for you. Screw it into the can's bulb socket, place a spot bulb in it (and add a dimmer if do not already have one) and repeat as needed, and you've some sweet new aim-able lighting for a relative pittance.
