What a piece of junk! It's made like--hell I can't even describe it. It fell apart before I could even attach it to a device. Don't buy.

This mount is incredibly versatile, fitting almost all eyepieces. I've used it with my spotting scope, binoculars, and even a simple rifle scope, and it fits perfectly every time. The connection is quick and stable, allowing me to easily attach my smartphone and start taking photos and videos of the night sky or distant wildlife. It works with all exit pupil distances, making it a breeze to capture clear images. The best part is sharing these incredible moments with my family and friends directly from my phone! This adapter is compatible with a wide range of smartphones (width 60mm-104mm), and I had no trouble fitting my phone securely. The mount is made of durable aluminum with a nice anodized finish, which gives it a premium feel. I especially appreciate the nylon plastic screws that connect to the eyepieces, as they prevent any scratches or damage. The mount's design ensures my phone is well-protected, with soft material covering the contact points, so there’s no worry about scratches or damages. The multiple screw fixing method provides excellent stability, even when adjusting my telescope or binoculars.

This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.In terms of build-quality, it appears to have been well-made - the construction is very robust, with a sleek, brushed metal finish.Putting it together is a cinch, and could easily be done on the go, as there are only two separate parts, joined by a simple screw thread mechanism. It is also straightforward to adjust the mount's position in relation to the phone's camera lens. I did feel that the clamp for the phone was a little difficult to use - it's one of those that can be really snappy, and hurt your fingers if you're not careful, due to the tightness of the grip. This is obviously great for securely holding the phone, I would just recommend taking extra care when removing it.In summary, a good value item.

What can you say the adapter is a good fit and it's priced great it's a no brainer. The longer you are in this hobby the more adapters you need to collect.

Does the job, the male M48 side will attach to something like an M48 camera ring (in the pic a Canon EOS M48 ring), and the other side the female M42 will attach to something like a T-adaptor. It's not cheap for what it is, but these adaptors never are :(

Needed a reverse adapter and this was on sale, so I decided to try this out. While functional with acceptable machining, the threaded end was really coarse and rough while spinning filters on, almost gritty feeling until several fitments were done before it smoothed out. The anodizing is very thin and has many defects inside and out, while some even looking purple as if the raw aluminum wasn't properly cleaned up prior to anodizing. The inner copper or brass compression band was also malformed and resulted in constant snagging of eyepieces that had a stepped retention collar. This was remedied by removing the band and reshaping it to a more concentric shape without flat spots and it worked flawlessly afterwards. The thumbscrew is also also a bit small (a single M3 threaded screw) to keep pressure on a 2" diameter accessory, an M4 would have been better here or dual M3 thumbscrews. The threads on mine are already very loose and worn with the thin anodizing, so I'll likely drill and re-tap threads for an M4 thumbscrew later, since the base adapter appears to still be usable. For the sale price under 20 USD, I'll live with it, but at normal price, it's only a few dollars less than what's commercially available from other reputable manufacturers that offer these adapters. If you use this style of adapter frequently, I'd look at another brand. I only had to use these frequently for several night swapping and testing eyepieces and diagonals for testing, so the retention screw thread, which already was loose and ill-fitting wore out quickly without ever overtightening.

I've been testing this adapter for a few days now, and I like it. The material and build quality seem to be good. The dimensions of the 1.25" barrel and the seating depth of the 2" portion are such that I get no vignetting at all in either my ETX-90 or ETX-125 scopes, even with a 2x Barlow (see photos)

After not receiving it the first time around (lost in the mail) it’s finally here. It seemed like a good idea at the time but after attaching it to my spotting scope I’m disappointed. The eye relief on my spotting scope is near zero and it has a rubber eye cup that is not removable. The tube with the thumbscrews can’t get close enough to the eyepiece of the scope to give my phone a clear picture. Also the clamp that holds the phone is kind of rubbery which is good for not damaging the phone, but bad at holding the phone tightly close to the eyepiece. YMMV.
