It's a gear with some bearings. I installed it without any issues and it's working fine...It's disgustingly overpriced. There is absolutely no reason at all that this thing should cost what it does. This isn't an Amazon issue, it's expensive everywhere. Scotsman has to be making a fortune in repair parts.
