Ordered three of these. They were advertised as having 1/4" NPT thread but they actually have a 1/4"NPS thread, as you can see in the picture. NPT is tapered NPS is not. Otherwise the quality looks good however, I won't know for sure as I can't use these. If they were NPT, I would give five stars. Maybe they were packaged wrong?

Used it for first time today. When I connected it to my motor which is new along with the Yamaha hose it leaked at the connection rendering the motor unusable as the leak prevented gas flow. Very disappointed. Returning it.

This is to specifications and worked fine for the purpose to which it was applied. I needed to make a pick up hose so that I could SeaFoam shock my outboard, my tanks already have the proper fitting. This worked flawlessly and did exactly what you would expect it to. I now keep the hose assembly I made onboard the boat for the next time and also so that I could drop that hose into any fuel tank or can in an emergency and have fuel feeding to the motor.With the new EPA mandated ventless tanks being so extremely problematic you could, if you so desired, make your own fuel tank out of a gas can and use it instead of the EPA mandated tanks that tend to flood your motor, blow fuel all over the place and are an explosion and fire hazard. Just sayin' ...
