This handrail is everything I needed for size, value, and stability. It installed quickly with my own fliptoggle anchors for that extra support and increased functionality. The black powder-coated steel is sleek and non-slip. It provides excellent safety, and it looks great while doing it. Highly recommend for anyone in need of reliable, durable support!

Before you buy this, you need to be aware of the spacing of the mounts and make sure they're going to work for you and your safety. Being hard-installed and non-adjustable, they are not going to hit studs at each mounting point if mounted diagonally, unless you get incredibly lucky with some irregular stud pattern. Otherwise, the fit and finish, and especially the design, are excellent, it looks great and feels solid once installed. Recommended!

This is decent. I'm not a big fan of the aesthetics of it as compared to others, but it does have a nice finish and works as a harndrail. we mounted it on a short set of stairs on a split level going down to the basement - we had an issue where the studs were not in alignment with where the mounting plates lined up, but we were able to work around it because we had access to the back of the wall (we just added backing blocks. We did not use the expanding anchors that were included, so I can't say how well they work.

This is a nice quality hand rail. It appears to be powder-coated, which will hold up to years of use. The problem is, the attachment points are fixed at 12" on center - designed to match the spacing of your studs, but NOT when at an angle, such as when running along a stairwell. If your attachment wall is solid concrete or you have the ability to add blocking at specific areas, this will work well for you. If you already have blocked attachment points for a railing, this one will not allow you to buy your typical railing mounts and attach them to the railing. Spacing is fixed. I deducted 1 star because of the design flaw and also due to the poorly photoshopped images showing the railing grossly out of scale. One of the images shows this 4' railing running up a full size staircase. As for the price, I think it is a decent value if you can make this handle work for your installation. 4 Stars.

I really needed this before it happened! - I am at risk for falls! And this handrail could definitely help me going forward, well at least up and down the two steps from my house into the garage as well as the two steps in my entryway. I already had one of these installed near the front door and it has been a tremendous help. I took one of my worst falls ever a couple of weeks ago in my entryway, I broke my back! unfortunately I was not near the grab bar at the time and it probably would have saved me from this injury.It's been getting more and more difficult for me to maneuver around the house especially when I have to deal with 2 steps, with the garage In mind that is what I purchased this one for.This is a solid metal bar that is 26 in Long it comes with wall anchors and can be installed in concrete wood or even drywall. It is easy to install with all of its hardware included (I actually installed it myself and even with my injuries I was able to finish this project without any problems).This product came quickly after I ordered it and I installed it right away . I have used it ever since and it is a formidable grab bar and it looks great in matte black.I am so glad that I purchased this, the 26-in length is perfect for my garage entry exit point (Pryor fall into the garage from the house face first) like I said at risk for falls , LOL.Highly recommend it!

I recently purchased a new family home and needed to install a grab bar where there is a step down in the hallway. While browsing Amazon one day for hardware a suggestion displayed for this long black grab bar so I decided to order it.Once it arrived you could tell that it was made well because of the weight and build quality of the steel. Installation was very easy because everything is provided, just screw it in. The bar helps a lot my disable mother when she needs to grab on to something to help her with the step down.

These metal handrails are strong and provide excellent stability when securely wall-mounted to studs. I installed them indoors as a grab bar in a hallway for an elderly person.
