This seem well made. Set up blocks are not strictly necessary, but they certainly make things easier/faster.

I've always wanted a set of these for table-saw and router-table setup but the price has always turned me away. These are a discount version but just as accurate and sturdy. The 8-piece set lacks intermediate heights and angles (no 32nds). I'm not sure that the Rockler/Woodcraft version has the angle finders, so that's a nice bonus.Unfortunately there's no "expansion pack" so if you think you need the bigger set, buy it at the outset.Five stars.

No more measuring the height of my router bit or table saw blade with an adjustable square. Set these beside the blade and match it. Perfect every time. Great set. Becoming part of my router setup every time.

So I realize, for the price, that these are unlikely to be machinist accurate. The speed square (which I am not sure why is included is trash. It's thin, it's passably square, but mostly just junk. The setup bars are, as you can see, out a little bit ....good enough for woodworking but that's about it. The storage case is nice.

Checked these with both a digital caliper and against a set of brass setup bars and these measured exactly as stated. Each bar has the expected measurement clearly shown in multiple locations, e.g., across the thickness of the bar, at each cut out, etc. making using the bars in multiple ways simple. Each bar is secured in an exact cutout in a piece of EVA foam inside a plastic container. The only minor negative is that the foam is two layers thick in the box with the bars themselves in the bottom layer. If you intend on keeping them in the box, you'll have to pull the top foam out every time. If you rearrange things so the bars are in the top layer the largest bar sticks out of the box so that the lid doesn't close. I will probably put the bars on the top and create a recess in the lower layer of foam to allow the larger bar to sit down enough to close the lid.The included rafter square is adequate. It's the same rough-ish speed square as the other three I already have in my toolbox.

This review is for the 7 Piece Router Table Setup Bar Set, at a price of $36.99.I obtained these to make my router table a bit more convenient to setup. This set consists of 7 setup blocks, each one has various thickness, height, and depth gauges, as well as an angle gauge. The gauge blocks range from 1/8 to 1/2 in 1/16 increments. The accuracy of these gauge blocks is OK for general woodworking, with all height/depth/thickness measurement errors being less than +/- 1/64 of an inch.Unfortunately, this set is very limited in that it only goes up to 1/2" instead of a much more useful 3/4", which is especially needed for router bit height setup. I guess I could be creative and lay the 1/2" block on its side and set the 1/4" block on top of it upright and effectively have a 3/4" router bit height gauge, but that may or may not work depending on the diameter and shape of the router bit.As for the included rafter square, the squareness of it is good. The stamped rulers are not going to be as accurate as laser etched rulers, although they may be much more abrasion resistant and readable in the long run.Overall, this is still a useful set and could still give you a broader range of measurements if you are willing to be creative at stacking the bars in various ways.
