Ten kamień to rzecz niezbędna w każdej kuchni, gdzie znajduje się jakiś nóż z twardej stali HRC 60 i więcej. Jest królem kamieni. Do podstawowego naostrzenia - jak ktoś chce więcej - musi kupić wyższe gradacje, ale i ten zapewni wyśmienitą ostrość naszym nożom.

It works. And, it works well. So ... 5 stars. I much prefer the Shapton K0702 Blade, 1000, Medium, Orange (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TPFT0G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1). There's not a lot of material to sharpen with and the stone didn't come with a protective case.

This seems to be a high-quality product. The grit cuts quickly and smoothly. It has no obvious contamination. The friction pad on the back is handy for holding this tool steady on a table or work bench. I also like the large size.

The stone itself is everything I thought it would be but the shipping left alot to be desired. Shapton packs these stones in a thin cardboard sleeve, Amazon put that in a box large enough for it to easily bang around and with no filler of any kind. Of all the things I have got form Amazon that were stuffed with filler - this one needed it and got none.

This is a great stone. I found it easy to use, and very responsive to pressure. For most use I think this is the finest grit I will need, for things like kitchen knives, and for most pocket knives. This is a quality product.

I've bee using King whetstones for many years. Learned about this ceramic stone from a Youtuber. I gave it a try and it is AMAZING. Absolutely love it. The quality is top-notch. The grain is very uniform. The best part compared to whetstones is that I don't have to soak it in water for five to ten minutes. Just spray and go. Very convenient.

I have been using King Whetstones ever since I started sharpening my knives, I mainly use the 1000 grit stone and it does a good job and you can't beat the price but I do not like having to soak the stone. All the reviews I have read about Shapton stones have been positive so I figured I would give it a try. The detail in the packaging alone told me this is a quality stone, the look and feel of this stone is incredible! Unlike the King stone, there is no soaking involved, just splash some water on it and get down to sharpening. The water stays on the stone and the feedback you get when you run the blade across the stone tells you it's not going to take long at all to get the edge your looking for. The first knife I was going to sharpen is a Spyderco with Cru-Wear steel. Before sharpening, the knife would cut but it would leave a jagged edge and sometimes tear thru whatever it was cutting. I did 10 passes on the Shapton stone on each side of the blade and then ran it across a leather strop, I used a page out of a magazine for the first cut test and I could hardly hear the blade gliding thru that paper. It was so silky-smooth that I just wanted to keep cutting. No more having to soak my old stone and the mess from having to keep pouring water on it when it keeps drying out, it's so much easier with this splash and go stone and my knife has never been this sharp

really give my great edge for my kitchen knives. This is my first stone which i can achieve constantly razor sharp edge.It gives you great clearly feedback. and the edge is very consistent. It ultimately gave me confidence about free-hand sharpening as a beginner.only drawback: 5mm is too thin.

This is great for sharpening my chef knives. I am a working chef and I was concerned about how thin the stones were. It is a non-issue. They wear so slowly they will last longer than a much thicker stone. I will be filling out my collection soon with more. The shapton holders are very expensive. I reccomend just getting a cheaper one to start.

I am a knife sharpening enthusiast always looking for the best set up and I finally found it.I have tried Smith's, Lansky, and KME, and they did a good job with small knives (up to 4") but could not do my longer kitchen knives and the edge was not as sharp as I wanted. After watching many reviews I learned that Shapton is one of the best brands for sharpening stones and that 1000 grit is one of the best grits to sharpen dull knives.(120 grit for re-profiling, 320 grit for fixing, 1000 grit for sharpening, and 4000 and above for polishing)The reviews were not wrong, this stone produced razor sharp edges with ease. I was able to sharpen all my kitchen knives (small & large) and have results that cut paper, tomatoes and even shave just as shown in the YouTube videos. The stone had no problems with soft steel and it really shined with hard steel rated 58 HRC like my CPM S30V folding knives, or my German Steel knives. The only disadvantage of this stone is that is very thin when compared with the thickness of other stones, so if you plan to use it constantly (e.g. in a business ) it may not last as long as you wish. However for my purpose of maintaining my kitchen knives and small collection of folding knives I am sure it will last for years.
