Great value for the price. Bought them as tooth brush timers for the girls that way they each can pick their own and if they lose them we have extras.

I used these for my kids to know how long to brush their teeth for! If you just tell them "two minutes" they don't understand and waiting for 2 minutes as a toddler is just impossible! They are excited to used their "timers" every time they brush their teeth now! And then don't stop until all the sand is gone!

When my children had braces, their orthodontist gave them a 2-minute sand timer like these. After they were done with braces, they no longer wanted to use the timers, so I took them, to make sure I brushed my teeth for the right amount of time. But both of those timers broke soon after I started using them. I searched for a long time to find replacement timers, and I found these — they are more accurate, closer to the two minute time, and are very sturdy. I have not broken one yet.My dentist is pleasantly surprised at how well I maintain my teeth, and I credit using these timers.

We are using these at a public event to ensure people only speak for 2 minutes. I like the suggestion that they can be used to help children brush their teeth for 2 minutes as well.

Two kids under 5 were getting under my skin when we brush teeth always asking if they were done yet so we went back to the old-school timers to help them have a visual and keep going. Some friends recommended a toothbrushing timer game or app on their phone but that seemed like a lot of extra effort. They are mostly timed well at the 2-minute mark but some are off by close to 10 seconds so if you are really particular about the timing, make sure to time them before putting them out. We kept one for each child to brush with and a few backups in case it breaks or goes missing. It was more cost-effective to get a larger pack than just the amount we needed so we shared with some friends and teachers.Aside from tooth brushing, we use it as a visual for a two-minute tidy and the kids like playing with it as well during their games. Sometimes we use it for home education or to do a chore or if the kids need our attention, they'll set it out and tell us when the two minutes are up which helps with disruptions.4-stars because the times are slightly off on some but they work well for what we need them for and the brighter colors are easy to keep track of.

My wife orders these for her patients who are in need of an inexpensive timer for some of their medical procedures. They could be quite useful for helping children know how long to brush their teeth too. Quality is great for these timers. There is value for your money and they are easy to use. The size of the timer is quite nice also as they are not huge but are not too tiny either. I highly recommend these if you need a 2-minute timer.
