Evidently they were rushed to glue on the metal caps on each glass ball and very obviously mounted them off level and plumb. Not even close enough you could hide it.

Just received this beautiful little piece. It's a very nice size, not too big, not too small. The workmanship is phenomenal, with one exception: tolerance. One end lines up perfectly at the bottom, but the other end is way off. I bought this solely for decoration, not keeping time on anything. So a little disappointed in that one aspect. Otherwise, I couldn't be happier, including if I DID want to use it for a timer. The engraving detail is fantastic and when holding it, you'd think you were holding an actual expensive antique hourglass. You will not be disappointed.

The details on the metal are fine and immaculate. I'm really impressed with this purchase. The scrollwork is nicely thought out. The sand in the glass has not clogged or stalled. I haven't timed it to make sure that it is exactly 15 minutes, but it seems about right. It adds a very nice antique/ steampunk appearance to my desk.

This sand timer is the perfect petite size, gorgeous, has a wonderful, satin-lined box to use for safe transport. The sand runs out at exactly 15 minutes, which is more time than I need for my purpose. ( I was hoping for more like 10 minutes, but it is very accurate.) It is so graceful, and the glass feels sturdy. I am thrilled. If they make its little sister with 10 minutes, I’ll buy that one, too.
