These are good! I've tried all of kaneiji's different textures available on Amazon and I like these the best. The rubber in this pattern feels a little more brittle, but I haven't had any problems with it crumbling or cracking so no issues. If you're just going to slap these on, like I did, you need some good contact cement (barge) and you should do yourself a favor and use small nails along with the glue to keep the heels on. It's worth the extra effort to use the nails. You'll need a strong, sharp knife to trim the outsole to fit. I don't know what the technique is to get it all smooth and perfect looking, but I also don't think it matters much. I'm using these on good leather sole dress shoes to protect the soles in winter, and if you look closely at my shoes it's obvious that an unskilled amateur did the work -- but who's going to look closely at my shoes? Still, if you know how to do a perfect, professional installation please leave some notes here.

Tooth thick impossible to cut. You'd need a hacksaw to cut these things I gave up and threw them away. And the glue they suggest to buy with it is really just crazy glue. Nothing that's going to hold on to your shoe forever

Be warned, these are thick. I knew that and it is the reason I got them over others. I put them on a pair of dress boots and they look good. I would not recommend them for dress shoes though. They are too thick for a low profile dress shoe. They are designed more for extreme weather like ice and snow but I live in Florida and am just tough on soles. My thought was of I was going to go through the process of gluing on a pair of soles to a pair of boots, I don't want to have to do it again in a few months. I used black Shoe Goo and a Dremel tool to get these to form my boots properly. It wasn't that difficult to do. I would recommend clamps for the Shoo Goo so it adheres well. Just follow the instructions.

I purchased these for a pair of 3/4 boots my wife had that were in need of new soles. After proper prep of the soles and the shoes these went on easily, and now the missus loves these shoes. I did do a few other things to her boots, like remove the molded sole, remove the stitched in insole and install a Goodyear welt, and install a midsole. They were originally a bit loose on her so I tightened them up just a bit after I installed the welt when I installed the insole. This was a fun project and the best part is how happy she is with her "new" shoes. Beware though, you'll need a drum sander or something to trim these down for best results. Good scissors will cut these but they won't do for final trimming. Neither will a razor.

I glued these to the bottom of a pair of Allen Edmonds I bought at a thrift store... they turned out great! Easy to install (take your time, especially on the trimming of the finished product)....... extremely pleased with the finished result. A cool pair of casual shoes for not too much money that'll last me as long as I care to wear them!

First off, these are super thick soles, so if your shoes are this large and you simply have to glue them to the bottom of your boots, then I would give this 10 stars. However, my boots are narrow and a size 8 in women's. I broke 6 fingers and 2 thumbs on my right hand just trying to cut the heel. I used sharp heavy-duty scissors. Maybe there is a better way? I used shoe goo to adhere it to the bottom of my boot. I love my boots but the soles were wearing down, so my last ditch effort to save the boots was this purchase. Not sure it's going to work because I only have one hand left and don't want to lose that one cutting the front part. If they sold these according to sizes, versus having to cut these to size, that would be so much easier and would look a lot cleaner than this after being cut. Still, if you wear very large boots and need to save the "sole", then these are definitely the answer as long as you can adhere them properly. I was thinking about gluing a stick to the front half and using it as a fly swatter.

Works as advertised. Nice and thick with good flexibility. Used it for my boots and it works great. We will see how it wears over time.

These are quality soles and heels. I put them on several pairs of my shoes. I use black Shoe GOO 110212 Adhesive and together they do a great job.
