Safety issue. Razor sharp metal edges inside toaster. My forefinger slipped inside the toasting area while I was moving the toaster. My fingertip literally sliced open leaving me with a half inch wide deep cut. This was a low pressure casual contact. In 60 years of using a toaster never experienced anything like this. Buyer beware, especially if there are children in the home.

I bought this toaster (black and stainless color) on sale for under $25. For that price, it is a surprisingly attractive and well functioning toaster. Toast pattern in manufacturer photos provided is accurate. It might not be perfectly even (there are lines) but overall, it's consistent and to me, pleasing. Main body panels are all metal, and color on side panels is even and attractive, with a light gloss finish. Buttons are not all metal, but are nice looking and functional. Dial appears to have fine adjustment capability beyond just the 1-6 darkness settings. Comes well packaged to prevent shipping damage. Very happy with purchase. Definitely worth a few extra bucks to upgrade from the cheapest plastic toasters.

I was worried it would be cheap and off gas a lot. It didn't...I just followed directions and ran it a couple times without food in it, to get the original burn off. And, it's been great. Good value, looks great in the kitchen...and it is really strong...I have to keep it on low so things don't burn! And, I love the thaw/reheat option, too.
