The Tank Alert XT indoor/outdoor alarm system provides audio/visual warning of potential threatening liquid level conditions in lift pump chambers, sump pump basins, holding tanks, sewage, agricultural and other non-potable water applications. If an alarm condition occurs, the horn sounds and red alarm beacon activates. The horn can be turned off, but the alarm beacon remains on until the condition is remedied. I'm a licensed septic contractor and have used these for years. I have never had any issues with these, however upon my latest install u found the alarm float did not work properly. On all other float actuators you can clearly hear the ball bearing inside the float cylinder that makes the connection and breaks it. The one I recieved di not work at all and I had to run to the plumbing store mid day and grab another new float. Not a big deal but a bit of inconvenience. Amazon has made it right by me though and gave me a credit for the amount I had to pay for a new alarm float ($75). Otherwise I'd give a 5 star review.
