This is a top quality product and its easy to use. I like that the carabiner is rated at 5,600 pounds and that it can be locked shut by simply twisting a screw sleeve. The prusik knot is made of quality rope and it grips tight to the main rope. The more weight applied the tighter the prusik knot holds. And while it grips tight, it remains easy to move the prusik knot up and down the main rope when there is slack in the knot line, nice! I recommend this quality product and I can think of many uses.

Just got this so it has not been used yet, but initial impressions are positive. The locking carabiner is really heavy duty and weights quite a bit in the hand. Feels very strong. It is stamped 5600 lbs., which seems like a lot. Not sure if I would trust it with this much (basically a large car's weight), but don't know why I would want to anyway. The rope is soft and should be non abrasive. Everything appears to be well made, and the set seems like a good value at under $20.

I compared this to my main rope that I use and this one is a bit soft. My concern is that it will get snagged on the bark of the tree when you wrap around the tree. The other issue that I found is that the lock area on the carabiner is very small compared to other ones that I have used. I would not use for regular climbing.
