If you want to burn up your HT buy these comets. With all 3 purchased SWR on 440 was 10.2SWR 11.1 SWR and a whopping 12.5 SWR. Switched to same size Nagoyas with 1.2 and highest was 2.2 SWR.

Stock UV-5ra Rubber Duck antenna will receive NOAA Weather on 162.550 full bars, full power.Install the Comet 503j and it wont even hear the NOAA Weather radio station, and they transmit with very high power.Far as i am concerned it is a dead antenna. Dont waist your money or time on this like i did.

This works better than ANY 6-8 inch dual band radio antenna that I have ever used other than their high gain 18” antenna which is too long for most uses!
