The straps won't stay at any length except when they're extended all the way. Every time I try to shorten them, they slip all the way out.

I didn't expect this bag to be as small as it is. And it is definitely small. I've ordered 2 others very similar to this one in the past although they were larger, and the straps broke easily so I ordered this one hoping these straps were more sturdy and durable. Because this bag is so small, you can't fit a lot of stuff in it, therefore I don't think I'll be weighting this one down as much which should keep the straps from tearing. I do like the gold zippers and multiple pockets, although I have had trouble with 2 of the zippers separating. They aren't made with quality. I was able to get the zippers closed by unzipping, and zipping back up very slowly so the zipper line doesn't separate from the pull zipper. Keys can go in one section my phone in another and wallet in another. It wipes clean easily too. This will work for smaller items and even little girls, but you can't fit large tablets or large items in it. There are a couple different ways you can use the straps. To use it as a typical backpack, unzip the top of the straps and unbuckle the two clasps at the bottom of the straps, and clip them into the round hoops located on each side of the back of the bag. This material along with the zippers, feels cheap and is not a bag that will endure much wear and tear, so in other words, it's likely to fall apart sooner than later. But, it's cute, it's small, it's inexpensive, and it's versatile, so even if I get just a few months out of it, it's worth it
