Once you get a smart plug you look at all the rest of your plugs like they are dumb. I have these setup with my Alexa devices and I can almost do anything I imagine with them. For example, I have one setup to turn on when it detects my phone near my house. It is connected to my space heater and in my office where the heat doesn't get to and now it's nice warm and cozy when I walk in the door. Similarly, when it senses my phone leaving my home area it cuts off automatically. Those are just a few examples so the world is your oyster, go nuts. Crazy!I already had the Smartlife app on my phone and used that to connect effortlessly.8/10 I would recommend it. I hope this review was helpful.

These are a great 4-pack of smart plugs that came nicely packaged and set up was super easy. The quality of these seem super nice and are the perfect option for Christmas lights. I am sure that I will be using these for more than just that, but they work great for that use case. Overall, they are smart plugs so not much more to say than they work great - highly recommend!

At the basic level of smart plug functionality, these are great. They were easy to pair with my phone and connect to my WiFi. Easy to control on/off through several methods: the native app, a widget on your home screen so you don't even need to open the app, or integration with Google/Alexa so you can use voice commands, automations, or group with other devices from other brands to all work together.The connection and switching was stable whether my phone was on the same network or done from a remote location (as long as the plugs were on their home WiFi).The weirdest part about setup was you had a choice of 2 different apps from the same company. I went with "Smart Life" and those are the screenshots provided. I don't know how different the other app is or why there are two.A pleasant surprise was that not only do these plugs turn on/off on command, but each one acts as a little electric meter for whatever devices are plugged into them. The app tells you a summary of kilowatt-hour consumption per plug, per day. For a $5/month or $20/year subscription, you can get even more features but I did not opt for those, and am just using the free part of the app. Is still very insightful and provides energy saving tips. I can imagine the subscription being worth the potential energy savings/awareness depending on what devices are plugged in or could be automated to save power under certain conditions (e.g. electric space heater or AC turning on/off depending on the weather or if you leave the house).If you're not married to a particular brand of smart home devices and are comfortable with mixing and matching various brands, this is a good set to add to your collection.
