This Soccer Football Footstep Training Mat looks like a great tool for soccer players wanting to improve their footwork and ball control without making a lot of noise. The silent shock absorption is a thoughtful feature, especially for indoor practice. The anti-skid design should keep it securely in place, and it seems like a practical gift for anyone serious about enhancing their soccer skills.

This is a nice mat to practice soccer footwork. Ball possession matters in soccer, and this mat is a great way to build footwork. Our elementary school soccer chap is thrilled. The mat feels soft, comfortable, and strong. The included grip socks are also good. Practicing at home worked fine for him. There are 5 movements on the mat to build skill and control in all directions and movements...atleast basic to moderate. He is happy and now its difficult to get him off this mat :)The only issue, the strap that holds the ball is too tight for #5, maybe smaller balls would fit in just fine. I'll have to create an alternate way to keep the ball strapped in. Other than that every soccer-loving kid would just love this mat set.

May provides some cushioning and sticks to the floor, but I wish it was a little bigger. It would also be nice to have some instructions come with. Socks are a nice touch.

Bought this for my 6 year old grandson's birthday who LOVES soccer!! This has helped him improve his moves and foot skills. He really likes it!

My 6 year old really enjoys playing soccer and was excited to receive this kit. He needs a little help to get set up in the belt but then he can play on his own for a bit. The "training techniques" folded page was a letdown for me, but he's 6 and doesn't care about that anyway. He just really wants to kick a ball around on the patio. And I want to let him, while also not worrying about the ball going somewhere it shouldn't (the street, the neighbour's dog, the rose bushes ...). His attention span is that of a typical 6 year old boy so I haven't seen much improvement but he's having fun, exercising, and getting fresh air. Really, what more could I want?⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Exceeds expectations⭐⭐⭐⭐ = As described⭐⭐⭐ = A flaw or two⭐⭐ = Serious drawbacks⭐ = No, thank you

I’m baffled why the sellers of soccer training mats such as these never show adults using these mats to their full potential. These mats are made for all ages and all skill levels. If you have ever seen a professional soccer player use one, you will see that a footstep mat can provide an absolutely grueling workout with every variation of footwork that there is. Search for videos of ‘football training mat’ (not ‘soccer training mat’) that have been produced by the Black Hawks Cricket Club. Oddly enough, you will come upon several videos of a soccer footstep mat being used to its full potential by an adult professional soccer in a wide variety of soccer drills. THEN you’ll see the potential of this type of mat and you’ll know for sure that you need one. This 2F22E mat is essentially the same as the one shown on the video.This 2F22E mat has much in common with all of the other mats I have seen:• The main body is neoprene that has been modified to have an integrated non-slip bottom. From one mat to another there is no difference in the material except the graphic on the top.• The grip it has on the floor will exceed your expectations.• The length and width are the same.• It is 3.5 mm thick. That may not sound like much, but it’s the perfect thickness for comfort without feeling like you are squishing into a pillow.• It will roll up easily for storage.• None of the mats I have seen have truly useful instructions. (Search other sources online for videos of routines that suit you the best.)Where it differs:• It comes with specialized socks made exactly for the drill that one would do with this mat. Curiously, many mats that say they are for kids yet the socks provided are always a men’s size 6-12.• This 2F22E footstep mat has a finished edge to increase its longevity. Some other brands don’t. The finished edge on this one lies completely level with the rest of the mat so there isn’t any additional tripping hazard.• I have seen mats just like this one (including finished edges and the same socks) sell for a full retail price as low as $20. There is nothing that warrants a full retail price (before any coupons or discounts) of $52. For this reason only, I am deducting 2 stars.

I bought this for my son. He absolutely loved it. It was a nice lil surprise. The mat is a good size. He can play in the living room and work on his touch.
