I bought a pony, and off I went to make a chisel sheath. I bought a leather knife too, but I didn’t really need to.The waxed thread is strong. The scissors are sharp. I dulled 2 of the heavier needles on some sandpaper. Some folks might prefer sharp needles for their work. I prefer dull ones for saddle stitches.Sheath is nearly done. Not a work of art. I need practice. Five stars.

The thread alone makes this set worth it. The hole puncher were hard for me but that normally my issue which is why I own a press. The needles work well for bag making and I made a quiver with no issues. The thread again is my favorite feature of the set, everything else was just a bonus. I also like the case it comes in. If you need a set to get you started with vinyl or leather then I'd say you won't be disappointed. I still recommend getting a hole cutter to accompany it.

This SOCNITC Leather Tools, Leather Working Tools is a nice set for beginners at the least. I liked that it also came with several wax thread and a case already organized for you. For me it is worth the money. I would rather not waste my time trying to create a set like this with individual parts. You can always add on when you get better or want more or something else.
