Didn't come with instructions on how to assemble it. Also the bottom part doesn't hold it. It kept falling. Cheap quality.

There has to be better choices, even at this lower price point.To start, there were no instructions. The Amazon web page does give some instructions for the stand itself, but that's it. Nothing about the light box or usage.The stand itself is only okay. I do wish it was a more traditional tripod design with three legs going down at an angle. That would give much more flexibility than this stand that only works on flat floors.Once you figure out how to assemble and attach the light box, it does work. The remote is critical to get to a temperature you want. The light level itself is okay, but not bright enough for real photography work where you really want to add light to use a faster aperture.And the case is basically a waste. You have to disassemble everything, right down to the lightbulb. But there is no way to store the light bulb without putting it back in the original cardboard box it shipped in. But that box does not fit in the case.Yeah, the light works. So I can give it a couple of stars. But I strongly suggest trying out other solutions.

Excellent photography light. You can use it inside or outside (as long as there is an electrical outlet). You can take your own passport photos, great party photos, especially for the kids parties. It is powerful, light but stable. You can easily pack it in a box for storage or transportation.What I like the most is the ease of installation and ability to remote control the light. It can be changed from warm to cool but the press of a button. The only problem is that it requires a special bulb so changing it might be an issue. The kit is cheaply made but sturdy enough. I'm getting into photography using lights and this is a great kit to start.It is one of the best photography accessories you can have, recommend.

This lighting kit is OK, especially for my purposes. I just wanted to create a small space for some YouTube video recordings and still shots. The stand feels a big a flimsy side and others I've had like that have broken so I'm not super confident its going to last. Still, this isn't bad if you're just getting started and trying to figure out a space and want to get anywhere from a few months to a year out of it, as long as you're careful. You'll find higher quality components out there, but they'll come with a higher price tag, too.

This review is for the 16x16" Gloshooting Softbox Lighting Kit with 85W bulb, at a price of $49.99.I obtained this to use as a more portable softbox light source that I can move around. This is a basic tripod-based lighting kit with a softbox and configurable bulb. The tripod is a bit of an unusual leg design, but is steel and very solid and easy to put together. It works great on level surfaces, although having 4 legs, it may not be as stable as a regular 3-leg tripod on uneven surfaces. It has holes in the feet which may allow it to be anchored down or the attachment of nonskid feet.The light is a bit low in the wattage, but may be useful as a secondary light source, and can be adjusted using the included remote. The diffusing cover of the softbox is attached with hook and loop fasteners and can be easily removed, if needed. The included hook and loop cable ties and storage bag are a nice addition.Overall, I am satisfied with this and I feel it will make a good addition to my photography equipment.

Got this for my son who is interning as a photographer with professional. He is just starting out doing portraits as well as product photography. It's pretty basic and comes in a compact case - at a ridiculously low price point. I didn't expect too much from it because of the cost but after setting it up - it works adequately well.The stand is made of hammered paint over steel - slightly heavy for the size but that is exactly what you need for a small stand. I was expecting aluminum but that would easily tip over due to the weight.The LED bulb - also kind of cheapie. This is only an 85w led bulb- but bright enough for close portraits. It won't be powerful enough for full body or multiple person shots. It's thoroughly sufficient to do product photos on a sweep or table.Overall for something costing less than $50 - it's a pretty good deal as long as you don't expect it to do all types of photography
