I bought this radio for my Mazda 626 2001 and it fit perfectly. It’s very customizable and simply just a great unit to have for any car without a screen. The product is exactly as described in the add and did not even regret buying it. Definitely worth every penny

Great sounding unit. Takes a while to familiarize yourself with all the features it has but well worth it. Drives 4 Kenwood 6x9s no problem

It worked perfect out of the box. Easy install. I previously bought a blaupunkt stereo and amp. The stereo didn’t work right out of the box so I returned everything and just bought the Sony. No amp needed. It’s truly an all in one head unit. I have Rockford Fosgate speakers so the sound is loud annd clear even Without an amp.

I purchased this Sony MEX-N5300BT stereo to replace my MEX-N5100BT stereo that I installed in my Tahoe about 8 years ago. It was virtually plug-n-play. I like the added feature that a second phone can be added to the stereo via Bluetooth and the 2 "Extra Bass" settings. Programming was easy and I was able to match the display color to the digital dash colors in the vehicle (N5100BT had this feature too). My only reason for the 4 stars is that Sony does not supply a case for the removable radio face. I have one from my old stereo but the fit is slightly different due to the programming knob. Other than that you can't beat the sound or quality of this stereo.

Purchased this to upgrade my old head unit a Sony Dsx-s100.Install was fairly simple and straight forwardOnce it was installed I took less than 5 minutes to connect my phone without reading the manual and automatically made a test phone call, person on the other end said voice was clear and no echo from the provided microphone even as I turned the volume up.Music play back is seemless and extremely responsive.USB connection to phone to charge while driving immediate connection to music and play through speakersMultiple color options and good brightnessThe size is a single dinPerformance is amazing so far as it’s only been installed in vehicle for 48 hours.Bluetooth connectivity is smooth and is getting better takes about 10 seconds to connect after starting vehicle which is not horrible.Unit has several features I’m not in need of but still good to have options.

I got this Sony to replace my dead CD player in my Toyota Sienna XLE, that had a hidden JBL system in it. Sounds great and had Best Buy put it in. He said they wished BB sold that model because it has every hookup in the rear of the deck for connecting everything. The remote control is not great, and has very tiny printing that requires squinting while driving??!! The menu on the deck is also not easy to see while driving. The bomb is the app on the phone. The phone app controls everything perfectly for the Sony unit. Easy peesy. The EQ settings would take an hour to do on the deck, or 2 seconds on the phone app. Besides the not so great menu options, my other peeve is the changing of inputs or sources. NOW, I may be doing something wrong, but you hit source for say CD or tuner, and the item flashes and does not activate. Sometimes hitting the source button again while something is flashing will get it to activate. I have deactivated the CD just to get the tuner ON. Like I said, there are too many functions being handled by one button, and I may be doing something wrong. I have been doing sound systems for decades and I still get stumped from time to time.Bottomline, this Sony system was a mere $130 and has many other features too. The Bluetooth is VERY GOOD, and grabs my phone calls with zero effort. Music by BT is also incredibly good sounding. I tested the AUX front input with a Sports WAlkman cassette player, yep, sounded awesome. USB tunes with a thumb drive, yep, sounded awesome too. One thing I found out, the Sony 5300 doesn't do WMA lossless, and only lesser versions of killabit recordings. MP3s at 320kbs sounded great too. I think the only lossless it plays is iTunes FLAC. I don't have any of that. Unit has Pandora, iHeart, and Sirius XM radio too. The installer said that my old radio was probably better, NOT, Sony has always put great tuners in their gear, and this radio is much better than the OEM stock radio in my Toyota Sienna. Music stations sound super too. It gobbles up way more channels, and on the app, was easy to program multi channels. Comes with a microphone for handsfree phoning, and shocked me when I got my first phone call, and I didn't need to setup anything!!!! There are things to learn, and I will try to update the things here that kinda sounded negative, because I may not be doing something correctly. I haven't played with this at all, but the unit has a ridiculous amount of colors to program for the LED lights on the dash. N5300BT is a great buy for the money.

Once I learned all the progamming features, I loved this unit. The remote is easy to use and perfect for my needs. The sound quality is top notch for powering aftermarket door speakers in my early 90's Ford pickup. I also have an amp with two 12" subs that this unit easily accomodates.Super happy 2 months in.

Works great, sounds great. I put this in my 98 Jeep Cherokee and wired it to the factory Infinity amp, the sound quality is much better than the factory head unit, and the 10 band EQ is very nice.Bluetooth connects within 30 seconds. Total color customization of buttons and display make this head unit match the interior backlights for nighttime. Easy to use menu and settings. The head unit has a very clean look instead of the more cheesy chrome and rainbow head units like people had in high school. 18 FM presets is also a bonus.

Cannot comment on long-term durability but I got it installed quickly and got every function working except my steering wheel controls (I believe I need some additional hardware for that to work in my '09 Honda Fit). I had bought another radio but was frustrated with fitment issues, obscure plug types and overall perceived lack of quality (it was a Continental brand radio). The button feel on this model is definitely much crisper and solid.. the other radio felt tinny, hollow and cheap. The bluetooth works great, the color matching feature works great, the menus are intuitive and to make it even easier can also be navigated in Sony's app or via the included remote. I did not want a large radio with a touchscreen.. just a classic style radio with modern features and performance, and that's exactly what this is. Homerun Sony! Perfect companion for the wonderful little Honda Fit.
