These large wide-mouthed starter jars make managing your started very easy. The silicone scraper is a perfect size and shape for use with the sourdough starter. The elastic band works well for marking the starter level, but the markings on the band are kind of odd and don't work for me. Instead of having Monday, Tuesday..., they have Day1, Day2... Day numbers don't mean anything, it's the actual day or date that means something. As far as the linen covers go - I prefer just to leave the metal lid on loosely.

Super loving this jar! I was using a boring mason jar and a white board pen to mark growth before this. This has amazing ml markings AND the cool temperature gauge I can stick on is awesome!I fed my starter last night and it’s more than doubled this morning! The silicone scraper that comes with it is perfect, and I love the adjustable band around. It has markings to tell you when you last fed your starter! Perfect for my ADHD brain!I’m making bread today!

This sourdough starter jar has been amazing! The 40oz size is just right—not too big, not too small—and the wide mouth makes feeding and cleaning super easy. I got this starter jar because I just started making sourdough. This jar is very convenient, big, clear, easy to read and to use. You can keep track of the temperature, level of starter, feeding days. Very good product

I have been wanting to my my own bread for while. This comes with everything you need to get started (other then the actual starter). I can't wait for my little dough to start to grow. It is a glass jar, very nice quality and super easy to use. The top is open enough it will be easy to clean. Depending on if you put the measuring tape on it you can put it in the dishwasher.
