This came in the nicest packaging. I love when the packaging is classy because it means what's inside works great. I haven't ventured to make some sourdough bread yet, but it was perfect for the cinnamon buns I made with yeast. Really nice item! I will use it a lot. I love making bread.

Easy to use, but I had a hard time keeping it from getting too hot. The temperature kept changing even after I’d set it. Is a great size, you could easily proof a larger container with the size of the mat.

RusicEss Sourdough Warming Mat, 59-140°F Adjustable Thermostat Sourdough Starter Heating Pad - Raisenne Bread Dough Riser Heating Proofing Mat, Fermentation Heating Pad for Dough Yogurt Beer Brewing Kombucha. Just arrived within a week of ordering. It arrived in a nice box packaged inside of a larger Amazon box. It did arrive with a basic set of instructions which were nice to have but it is easy enough to use that it can be figured out without them. It is a great size for longer loaves. But also worked perfectly for letting my bread rise in a bowl. I like the fact that there's a timer function on it so you can set it from 1 hour to 24 hours. I think it's well put together and it heats completely throughout the mat so it functions exactly as you would want a bread proofing mat to work. I think it is a very good value for the money.

Great proofing mat. Took it out of the box, unrolled it, figured out how to use it without even having to look at the directions really--yes, it's that simple--put two jars of sourdough starter on it in my cold kitchen, left for three hours, and BAM! I had starter almost coming out of the jars.Okay, so that's what happened. Here is a little bit more about the mat. It's about 10" x 21", comes rolled up in a small box, and has a control unit on the power cord. You can easily select the temperature and the time (in hours) for how long you want it to be on before auto-shut off. There's really not a whole lot more to say about it other than it definitely works, as I described above. I did get a little case to go around it, but honestly, if I can recreate the results from last night, I don't even know if I'll need it. We'll see when I get to the dough proofing stage. But for right now, this mat is great and a definite buy for me.

I am making my own bread for years. My last sour dough starter was made with rye flour, but since I did not properly take care of it I decided to make a new one this time with whole wheat flour. I did this so many times, so what could go wrong. I started the first one, and meticulously fed and took care of it. Absolutely nothing happened. So I started another one, thinking it might have been the water to flour ratio, but again nothing. Then it dawned on me, my kitchen is too cold and my counter tops are granite, so no warmth from that either. I never even knew there is such thing as a sour dough starter warmer device. I got the mat because it seemed safer to me than the warmers, and have to say I am impressed. It is taking maybe 2 days longer, then it would take in the summer, but it is bubbling now!

This mat is very easy to use. Took it out of the box and rolled it and put it on my counter. Made my bread set it on it set the temp and the timer. It sped up my bread, baking by keeping the bowl, nice and warm, but not too hot to kill the yeast. I’ve made several types of bread, including Old-fashioned Belgium waffle batter. If you have a cold kitchen or live in a colder area, this is a big plus by not having to heat up your whole kitchen. You can have an area for your yeast dough. It’s easy to clean just wipe it down with a damp cloth.
