Gut zum Festhalten, das Mahlen von zerkleinerten Zimtstangen oder Bockshornkleesamen sind kein Problem. Die Kurbel könnte hochwertiger sein.

This is a very nice looking but grinder. I grind my beans very fine and use in a very small-screen press. It takes me less than two minutes to grind the whole hopper, and that makes a 1 qt press. For me, hand grinding lends enjoyment and appreciation to the process, but if you're not into that, you can grab a small rechargeable drill with a 12 point socket and grind 'em up that way.

Grinds coffee into fine powder. Perfect for Turkish and Greek coffee. Much finer than any electric grinder that I've tried. Takes just a small amount of elbow grease and about 2 min to grind enough coffee for a 4 cup brikki (Greek coffee maker) I was a bit worried about how hard and long it would take but it really is no big deal. It is well made. I highly recommend it.

Coffee is a major love of my life. I have been trying to improve my Turkish coffee game in particular over the last few years. Initially I purchased a lovely, ornate traditional coffee grinder but quickly found it wasn’t able to do the job I needed it for. I hadn’t researched well before that purchase. Have been using a Hario Skerton since then but have suspected that I was still missing something. I want to be clear that the Hario Skerton is a fine manual grinder and well worth its price but the Turkish coffee grind is extremely fine and not what it was specifically designed for. Eventually I saw a discussion of the Sözen grinder on Reddit and became interested. It seems they have a long history of producing high quality grinders specifically for Turkish coffee. The grinder is very reasonably priced so I decided to give it a try. I have been delighted with what I received! Initially I ground a couple of tablespoons of raw rice with it to clean the grinder as per the instructions. Grinding white rice is a lot of work! After this was completed I began grinding a few grams of coffee beans at a time to dial in the grind I was looking for. The instructions a very clear about how to adjust the grinder and it only took a few adjustments to produce the finest, most powdery coffee I’ve ever been able to. This my friends, is a superior product! When I read reviews of manual grinders a major complaint seems to be that they are difficult to use. If this is a big deal for you then you are in the market for an electric grinder. Grinding beans by hand does require a bit of work. It goes with the territory. I found I was able to grind a full hopper of beans in just under three minutes. For me this is excellent and makes enough coffee for several cups. All in all the Sözen grinder is a fine product. It’s beautiful, well made from primarily brass and produces a very fine grind!

Works perfectly - grinds fine enough for Turkish coffee, easy to use and seems pretty durable so far. I don't see any problems with it.Caveat: grind size was a little bit loose/too coarse straight out of the box, and needed adjustment to produce proper powder-fineness for Turkish coffee. Instructions for adjusting grind size came with the grinder, were simple, easy to follow AND WORKED, and I haven't had to adjust the settings since. Considering this item was made in Turkey and has made it all the way to California, I don't consider the initial need to set the proper grind size a problem or flaw. IMO, it probably can be adjusted for coarser grinds if you wanted to, but I only use it for making Turkish coffee. It looks like it would be really annoying to get the adjustments right day by day if you wanted a grinder that you could use for several different sizes of grind, but IMO it's not designed for that and it's unreasonable to ding something as opposed to recognizing you'd want a different design/type of grinder if that feature is important to you.

This ALMOST recreates an "authentic" mill I've had for many years which still works perfectly. Unfortunately one of the most important features of my old mill is the threaded shaft on the top end of the shaft. Without it there's no way to bind the grinding handle to the shaft. if the handle gets separated in the kitchen for some reason--the mill becomes useless!!!!!
