Good product! I wanted to install hood pins that are similar to late 80's and early 90's race cars.I had to trim the threaded portion of pin in order to clear obstructions under mounting location but it everything came out as expected and looks really good.

I bought 2 sets of these for the race car. Our old, non-retained hood pins kept rattling out and getting lost. Installing these in place of the old pins was a breeze and the quality is excellent. They came with the requisite hardware, but the screws they came with for holding down the captive pin thing weren't great. They didn't provide self drilling screws, so I had to drill pilot holes for each screw. If I tried driving them straight into the hood, they just sheared off immediately.I really like that these hood pins are captive so they don't wander off into the wild blue yonder. I took one star off of these hood pins because if you just yank on the ring before folding it all the way back, the hood pin will move too far back in the retainer and get all bound up. It isn't that hard to fix them when that happens, but it is a bit more finicky than I'd hope for and can eat up valuable seconds during a quick pit stop. They're certainly the best solution I've come up with yet though!

Pretty easy to install in an afternoon. Takes a little tweaking to get right, and best to use some green loc-tight to set everything once you have it right. But holds the hood, hasn't ever popped open. I've even gotten some compliments on how they look.

These hood pins were very well made, but I ended up not using them because I didn't want to destroy the new carbon fiber hood. You can just use airplane cable and a caribeaner to hold the hood down from the inside.

I have installed and used the usual hood pin kits, but I saw this and had to try it out. I love it. During a race, it is easy to loose the pins and this helps out a ton. Thanks Sparco

These hood pins are excellent. The hardware included is high quality and the pins have a nice finish and feel to them. I used these on my MR2 to secure a carbon fiber hood and I'm very happy with them. I prefer these over the aerocatch pins for styling reasons. I know, call me crazy.
