Bought this to go in a brand new hull. Took it out on a nice day in March. Ran the boat one battery charge. Took it home and cleaned and greased for the next time. Got another good day so took it out again. Boat ran for about 10 minutes and then quit in the middle of the lake. Got my kayak and went and got it. Opened up the hatch and smoke came pouring out. Turned out esc had melted. Expected more for the money.Edit : Tried many times to contact manufacturer. No luck. Amazon would do nothing, no help at all. I’m out $200 and have a boat I can’t run. Will not buy from Amazon again.

Great esc'sI have them running 8s in 2 boats. Dedicated cooling line. Never gets over 120 f.Only small issue I had was getting the switch wet....Don't do it.Boat will shut off and turn back on if this gets too wet.Always works great again when dried completely.

This is a great addition to my sonicwake. Works great and communicates telemetry with the dx5 rugged. Great to have all the info in my hand. You do need to use smart batteries for exact cell percentage but it will tell you overall charge of any batteries.
