I bought this as a very light-weight hiking day pack/vest to use for hiking from a base-camp, where I won't be needing tons of supplies for the day.- Super light- Prefer the full vest to the ones that only have straps on the sides- Lots of pockets on the front and sides for phone, power bars, ID- loops on the front (for attaching that bear bell)- A large zipper pocket in the back for some first aid stuff, gloves, Sawyer water filter.- Loops on the sides for attaching collapsible trekking poles (wouldn't work for full length poles). These are a touch awkward, but I haven't found any other vest that has these.- Elastic bungy-cord on the back to tuck a light jacket.- Packs down really small and light!Note: this is not a backpack, so there is no waist belt. All the weight is on your shoulders. However, the attachments are very adjustable and if you wear it snugly it doesn't feel heavy. I'm 5'-4" and weigh 127 and I bough the S/M size. There is room to wear it over a jacket or just a t-shirt.Note: The description says it comes with a 2-liter water bladder. Mine came with a 1.5 liter water bladder. This is OK for me because I filter water on the trail. You can put a full 2 liter water bladder in the pocket, but the vest bulges out from your back a little. This is not a deal breaker for me, I really like that it's light and packs down much better than a traditional day backpack.The light green color is just fabulous.

I purchased this kit for use during the Bataan Memorial Death March Marathon, a particularly challenging event for which I had hoped to set a PR. Right after the start of the race, I could not get the tube to work no matter how I bit on or pulled on the mouthpiece. OMG!!!! - trying to get this to work cost me at least 25-30 minutes (no PR).After the race I realized the problem: I was pulling from the top of the mp while holding the bottom. Let go the bottom, pull from the top to get flow. Genius! But- it would have saved me 25 minutes and a few expletives, if this had been more obvious. Just a note of instructions would be helpful.

Great quality vest, well made with tons of pockets and compartments. There’s so many little fiddly bits that I’m not sure what they all do. The green is beautiful in person. The vest is also very lightweight and comfortable, I have broad shoulders and the M/L fits perfectly. I think it would be cool if there were instructions/ or a little video to explain all the little parts. Also if you are large chested, may not fit.

Very tiny!! Tried to put it on, and it didn't even go across my chest which is 41 inches and it says up to 43 inches. Because it doesn't have side adjustment, the straps on the front did not adjust big enough to go across my 43 inch chest. When I tried to take it off, I couldn't get it off of me for a few minutes and almost panicked. I returned and bought a different one and I'm much happier with the other one.
