We have a soaker hose system in our garden to keep it watered properly, but the challenges are that we rarely get out there to turn it on at the ideal time, and often let it run too long. This timer takes care of the problem. You can set a daily watering schedule or activate it manually for a specific length of time. You select the time with a knob... much easier than using a series of buttons, but setup isn't completely intuitive. Keep tha manual on hand. You can also manually activate a rain delay to prevent excess watering on rainy days without cancelling your program. If I have any concern it's that the product only has IP55 ingress protection. While that should hold up to rain and spraying, I'd wnat to see something more durable for garden uses, especially if the faucet/hose is leaky and exposes the timer to more constant water. We'll see how it holds up over time.I needed to use pliers to remove the battery compartment... a problem, but probably because the waterproof seal was adequately tight.I also got the version with plastic fittings. If I was to do it again, I'd spend the money for the brass fittings at both ends. This is in a place with sun exposure and I expect the fittings to degrade over a few years. It comes with a sediment screen on the input side, some plumbing tape, a reducing adapter, an extra rubber washer, and a male portion of a quick release adapter that fits common plastic quick release systems.

Does everything it says it will, but one feature that I am really missing on it is the ability to cycle my misters on and off, which is what I use this for. Most timers you can set for, let’s say, every day, six hours, cycle on and off every 30 minutes for 10 minutes. I do also realize that this is a budget contraption. There was another one around the same price that did this, but I missed that this one does not. However, what it does do it does well.

Can only program to run for 5 or 6 min. It's not bad for the money.

I got this to use on a temporary container garden and it has done the job well. It was easy to install on the hose, however, i dont think the plastic will hold for more than a season, maybe 2. Should have gotten a metal connector instead. It is not the easiest to program and I had to reference the manual several times but i finally got it working to my needs and it has been running successfully for a few weeks now.

This is not a paid review. I was skeptical because of all the paid reviews. So far it works as expected. Watering new shrubs 1 hour a day with a drip hose. Not sure how durable this will be after the rainy season, but I'll update review if I have any issues.
